I’m using it to light stove burner with broken igniter. It came fully charged, I read instructions on how to light and it worked just right. Came in nice packaging with instructions and a charger cord (!) so this could be a nice gift too. ** Follow up: I’ve now had this for 5 months. It still is working just fine. I’ve had it sit for as long as 3 weeks and still hold charge fine. It does need to be recharged after “several” uses (haven’t counted! But I feel like 15 or so??) but it recharges up to full quickly, like in an hour, so that’s not a problem and I like seeing that it recharges easily. I would definitely buy again, or gift this, it’s nice looking and so far is perfectly reliable. (Mine is red.) Read more
I’ve been using the JETPRO USB Rechargeable Candle Lighter for about two months now, and I’m really happy with it. I originally bought it to replace regular lighters and matches, and it has completely done the job. The electric arc lights candles quickly and consistently, and I like that it’s windproof — it works well even when I use it outside for BBQs. The safety button is a nice feature, especially if you have kids around. It feels secure and well made. One of the best things is how long the charge lasts. I don’t have to recharge it often, and when I do, it’s simple with the USB cable. Overall, this has been a great purchase. It’s convenient, cleaner than matches, and I don’t see myself going back to traditional lighters. Definitely 5 stars from me. Read more
I haven’t charged this thing since I got it which has been well over two years and it works. This is such a great option instead of disposable lighters and it works to reach wicks that are far down in the jar. Read more
So I seen this item on Amazon's today's deals. So I purchased it because I am a big lover of candles. I tried it & thought it was pretty cool. But don't know how often I'll use it. Maybe when my bic candle lighter runs out of fluid. That's the plus side of this candle lighter, it only needs charged. The reason for giving only 4 stars is bc the user manual should be more specific for first time users. Read more
Inexpensive, easy to use and rechargeable via USB-C. Can use in windy conditions because this lighter uses a small electric arc to light candles, not a flame. The manufacturer also offers a 12-month warranty. Read more
Although a relatively simple and decently designed product, it is let down by sub-par materials and or manufacturing. Mine stopped charging, which CS attributed to expected battery decline (really?! After less than 10 recharges since purchase?), and offered that I should just buy it again... Turns out that it wasn't the battery - a quick tear down revealed that the issue was the wiring. One of the two flimsy wires from the charging port had snapped near the solder point. The same wire also had a mysterious tear in its sheath a few mm away. Shody parts or shody manufacturing, either way, with or without this "relatively" easy fix (if you are handy) save yourself some hassle and look elsewhere. As an aside, I would also consider a non-cylindrical design in the future. Read more
I saw this electronic arc lighter in a lightning deal and bought it out of curiosity because I thought it looked sleek and different from the everyday lighters. However, I really didn’t know what to expect when I purchased this lighter. When I received the lighter it had about 3/4 charge so I immediately tried it out. There is a little finesse involved in using it. The lighter works by sliding the button forward which deploys the electrodes and exposes the button starts the arc. When lighting a candle with it you have to get the arc right on the candle wick and it usually takes a couple seconds to get the wick to ignite. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to light the candle but it does work. It doesn’t take very long to charge it and you get a lot of uses out of each charge. I’ve been using it for a couple months, a couple time a week and have only had to charged it a few times. I like the length of it especially when lighting candles that are in a jar where it’s hard to use a lighter without burning yourself. For the most part it feels pretty solidly built but the button that slides it the electrodes is a little loose and may be a weak point in the future. Read more
