Computer crashes - I lose all my data on the laptop, so now I use a flash drive for ALL my critical files. Then, I damaged a flash drive twice - once the laptop did an update when I had stepped away and it corrupted a major excel file I have used for years. Then from constant tugging on the flashdrive to pull it out of the laptop, I have the metal plug in for the port barely alive on the flashdrive, just enough for me to transfer to a newer flash drive. Now when I step away from the laptop, I unplug the flashdrive from my laptop - so I got the HUB that can take all the abuse of constant plugging in and unplugging.
