Bought this for my daughter. I was skeptical because it looks nice but sometimes when you buy leather online and you get it, it’s almost like you wonder if it’s actually leather. when you open this you’ll quickly recognize that this piece is made from 100% old school leather, it even has that immediate high quality leather smell. I was very impressed by the quality, and for the price, and the material, and the construction, it’s a great deal. Read more

I’ve only had the bag a few days. It seems very well made. The leather is nice and soft, not too thin. I was looking for a smaller briefcase for my MacBook Air 13” and a few office incidentals. This is perfect. Not at all bulky. It’s rugged, not feminine looking, but stylish. The big main flap keeps it looking slim and neat. One review mentioned that there’s no extra padding in the bottom. The first time I set in on the floor I heard an uncomfortable “clunk”. I added a spare piece of foam to fix that. I don’t want to deduct a full star for something so minor. In the past, I’ve paid 3x as much for a briefcase of this quality. This one is well made and very well priced. Read more

This is a really nice bag, and I'm going to keep it, but there are a few design issues you might consider. 1. The flap really limits the bag's capacity because it's designed as if it closes with nothing in the bag. If you put a laptop, thin notebook, and a charging cable in the front pockets, you'll have to stretch the flap and pull kind of hard to get the magnetic catches to line up. They should have made the flap about 1 inch longer so that it can close without any struggle. 2. The strap for the laptop compartment is sewn only to the fabric liner and not the leather so it will likely tear over time. 3. There is inadequate padding for a laptop. You'll find that most laptop bags provide padding for the sides but not for the bottom which is the cause for many laptop repairs when bags are dropped or not set down carefully. This has no padding on the bottom and minimal padding on one side. 4. This is not a flaw but I will mention it as a purchase consideration. There is no handle, only the shoulder strap. Personally, I think it looks better without a visible handle. If I want to carry it with one hand, I'll just clutch the straps together in my palm. It looks better without a handle but if you really must have a handle then you might consider this. I actually bought 2 of these bags: the Cognac Vintage and Black Floater. I initially bought a black one but it got lost in transit, and since it was the last one, I bought the Cognac colored one. This was fine because I had a hard time deciding which to get. However, I saw another black floater pop up a couple of weeks later and decided to get it. Therefore, what I can tell you is that both bags have consistently good quality craftsmanship and leather. The fabric liner seems to be a nice quality. The strap is well done. The stitching is clean and sturdy. It's a real attractive, masculine style bag. I'm naturally an alpha male so I don't like a bad or case that looks feminine. The black one looks professional and sleek while the cognac one looks professional yet kind of rugged. I hope the seller will be willing to fix one thing, so I plan to contact them to request one made with a slightly longer flap or adjustable latch. The bag itself has the width to carry a laptop, couple of books, magazine, and some items in the front pocket but it's the flap that actually prevents it from holding its capacity. The good thing about leather is that you can stretch it a little bit. However, it must be treated with leather conditioner and molded evenly or it will end up looking lumpy. Still, that has only slightly increased the capacity, but it's kind of a struggle to line up the magnetic catches. In any case, there are some relatively good quality messenger bags for a similar price. Some look very similar but this one has just the right look, proportion, and quality so it's a good value at this price point. You have to look at the details though as some much more expensive bags have plastic zippers and use very thin leather over canvas which is overpriced low-quality. This bag is not like that and does not skimp on the leather. Overall, this is a very good purchase. Read more

Sturdy, feels amazing, and looks great. My laptop fits perfectly inside and it feels like it'll hold up for a really long time. Something not visible in the images is that the straps are even lined with canvas, which is a nice touch. My only criticisms are the rigidity of the shoulder pad (which I assume will form to my shoulder with enough use) and that the smell is a bit strong. When you open it up, the smell of leather conditioner is a bit like a slap in the face, so I may leave it somewhere ventilated for a few days. Overall, very pleased with my purchase. Read more

My bag arrived today, everything looks well-stitched and glued. I like that the strap is nice and long, wide enough, and canvas on one side. The Canvas keeps the strap slipping, and really, if you wore the bag shirtless and in hotter weather, the canvas lined strap won't stick to you like leather would. I thought this was a very thoughtful design element. The bag itself is roomy enough for my keys, diary, wallet, phone, Nintendo switch lite, hand sanitizer, lip balm... a sundry of little items. I read a review about the hardware being "clunky" but I think it's appropriately sized, and zips smoothly. The magnetic buckles leave something to be desired, but I'm old school enough to think normal buckles would have been better. So that's just my opinion, mayhap you like magnetic buckles. I think if the button portion were just a touch larger they'd be snappier magnets, but probably with wear the leather will soften up and it won't be an issue. Not enough of an issue for me to not like the bag or to want to send it back or rate it any lower, real buckles make for a more expensive bag (and this one was 45$) Read more

I brought the bag for my son and he said he loves it. He carries it for work. It’s not bulky and looks great. Arrived quickly and was packed well. He loves the quality of the leather. Read more
