Top-of-the-line product
Hands-down the best shaving cream I have ever used. It's been several years since I purchased my first bottle, and I won't use any other shaving cream. I have to address the negative reviews, because they seem ludicrous to me - I have thick facial hair and sensitive skin, and this has been nothing but highly-effective, non-irritating, and deeply-moisturing. I often opt for a clean shave with this, over a trim with a buzzer, when I want my skin to look really good for a special occassion. It seems to me that most of the negative reviewers haven't done their homework on how to get a good shave with *any* razor/cream: 1. Take a hot shower, or rinse your face with hot water for a couple minutes. This will make your facial hair less brittle and more amenable to the razor. If you just splash on some water on your face and try to shave without any prep, your shave is going to be less pleasant, because all of your hair is at maximum-level brittle. 2. Apply warm water to your face, then add the shaving cream. You should use a double-edged, single-blade razor (Van Der Hagen also makes an excellent one). The typical four-blade razor that most companies sell is completely gratutitous (usually the blades are so low-quality that they need to pile on more so people feel like it works) and actually very very very bad for your skin - think about it, you are taking a super-sharp object and moving it along the most sensitive part of your skin - you want less blades, not more! 3. Shave with the grain, not against it. Rinse after 2-3 strokes. Leave the mustache for last, because that is the most brittle type of hair, and you want the shaving cream to soak, soften, and moisturize those hairs. 4. Avoid aftershave. It serves zero purpose, and the alcohol in it can make your break out. Plus it burns. All drawback, no benefit. Again, it seems like the negative reviewers don't follow proper shaving protocols, so they break out or have unpleasant shaving experiences. Your facial skin is so sensitive, you have to make sure you are shaving properly. Also, I use more shaving cream than the bottle instructions recommend, but, even with the decent amount that I use, a bottle lasts for months. All in all, this is a top-of-the-line product. Given the market in low-quality multi-blade razors and shaving creams, many of which have weird additives that do nothing beneficial for your skin, this is the product you need. Highly recommend.
