Vaunn Medical Adjustable Overbed Bedside Table with Wheels Hospital and Home Use

This is a great table. We purchased this as an aide for my husband now that he is disabled. He has left sided weakness after his stroke and he is unable to carry items and walk with his cane. He prepares his lunch and places his plate on the table. Since it has wheels, he can walk with his walker but also pushes the table and can get his food over to where he is going to sit and eat. He can raise the table up and down easily with one hand. The table is very sturdy and is made very well. It was easy to put together. Just two bolts and two screws and the wheels popped on. What a handy table. At first I was turned off by having to put it together but in service it has been excellent. strong, stable useful everything you could ask for. But you have to put it together yourself. Its not difficult assemble. I just prefer buying a finished product versus a box of parts. This is a good quality economical bedside table. Read more

Easy to put together. Worked great for my dad’s hospital bed. He’s been using it for a couple nights now and no issues! He really likes it. I will say it’s easier to adjust the height when you want it taller, but when lowering it, it’s not as smooth. Something to think about for disabled people. Read more

Very happy with the quality of this table. Got this for home to use while recovering from surgery and it will come in handy afterwards as well. The weight and stability give the product a hospital quality. Very impressed with the table surface finish and feel. The table surface is very easy to clean. The lower bar in the stand between the wheels is offset so you can bring it in close to a chair and eat from, although I wish the height was about 6 inches lower when sitting in a recliner or sofa furniture. But, given the height of hospital beds you can bring into the house, I view this as minor since it maintains it's stability when the table is extended to the maximum height. The table's lift mechanism is smooth with nice latch points to confirm the table is locked in place. After assembling, I extended the table to the max position and wiped the grease off the lift post. The instructions are very well done and easy to read and follow. Minimal parts to put together allowed me to have this together in minutes. Please do read the instructions as there is a screw that has to be replaced on the lifting post in Step 5. A longer screw is used for shipping to prevent the lift mechanism from operating. Once you replace that screw with the included shorter one, the lift operates smoothly. The table is labeled with a serial number and revision plus date of manufacture. Anyone working in a strict product quality environment will recognize this as a way to track product, revisions, and allow for recalling the product due to any potential defects. So, why did I take off one start from the rating? Given the quality of this product I debated whether to take off one star, but they really could use a matching plug on the bar under the table above the lift mechanism. They put one in on the end toward the middle of the table surface, but left it out on the outside end and I found the metal to be rough. In addition, I found this would be an area subject to germs since the lift mechanism is right there close to where hands would go to operate it. The other reason is the casters are cheap plastic ones taking away from the otherwise high quality of the product. Would be nice if they opted for a higher grade caster that felt like it would last as long as the rest of the table. Having said that, the casters allowed the table to move easily across both hardwood floors and carpet surfaces. This will prevent the table from toppling over whenever you do have to move it out of the way. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely. Having ordered a different manufacturers table over a year ago and seeing the difficulties and lack of quality, I was highly impressed with the Vaunn table sitting itself apart from the competition. The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my recovery at home and it has been a lifesaver. The table is solidly built with a smooth surface that’s large enough for meals, laptops etc. The adjustable height works easily so we can set it at the perfect level whether in bed or sitting in a chair. The wheels glide smoothly across carpet and hardwood making it easy to move around without effort. It feels stable and doesn’t wobble even when holding heavier items like a laptop and dinner tray at the same time. Assembly was straightforward and took less than 15 minutes. I wasn't able to drag it under the couch because of clearance with the wheels although it was perfect under my bed. This is a great value for your money. I have owned a poorly constructed table and obtained a genuine hospital table at a garage sale (unfortunately, it was given away...) This one is just shy of the hospital one. Very well constructed. It will last for years. It is very stable! Read more
