I've tried numerous non-plastic, natural fiber-based dental floss products. All have shredded in my tightly-spaced teeth, causing me to have to get out the old PFAS, PTFE brand just to get the stuck fibers out. Kind of defeats the purpose of those natural fiber flosses, right? Yesterday I gave it one more shot and tried this bamboo/charcoal/wax/peppermint oil brand by Mother Earth. WOW! No shredding, even in tight spaces, and it does it's intended job of removing food particles with ease. I love that it's biodegradeable and comes in a cardboard recyclable box. I've tried many "natural"/non-toxic dental flosses and this one is the best one so far. It is the perfect thickness and slides easily between tightly spaced teeth without shredding, and is gentle on gums. It's also made from natural fibers rather than recycled plastic, so it doesn't stretch and expand, but I'll take natural fibers over plastic any day. Those expanding and stretching flosses are also abrasive and shred easily. I don't understand the benefit of added charcoal and wish it wasn't included but it doesn't seem to add abrasiveness and it isn't at all messy like charcoal tooth powders, so I will keep using this one. I like the floss. Seems like good quality. Strong and holds up well. The only element I would suggest the company change a bit is the floss holder and tear point. If you break off the floss while the roll of floss is elevated in the glass container, it can easily pull back into the small hole requiring rethreading. Also the cut of device is not always easy to grab to cut off. It would not stop me from buying it however! Read more

I have really crowded teeth, so I have a hard time finding a nontoxic floss that won't get stuck and rip in between. This floss is the only brand that hasn't ripped or torn apart while flossing. I'm so glad I finally found a floss that works for me. Plus, I love that it's biodegradable, including its packaging. The price is on the more expensive side, but it's totally worth it in my opinion!
