I am obsessed with this brand now. I have fine hair but a ton of it, and it wants to curl if I took better care of it. Although the Ghost line is not a curly hair formula, it doesn’t dry out my hair and actually keeps it feeling clean the day after I wash, even after sleeping. The conditioner is pretty thick, but the smell is great—I think it’s citrus-y. The ghost oil is a great addition; my hair is already really shiny and smooth, so I don’t always use the oil, but when I do it never leaves my hair feeling oily or crunchy. I’m hooked on Verb products now. Read more

Favorite new shampoo. Have been using for the last year and since using this product, I have to wash my hair less frequently before it gets oily. It is nice and light. It also has a pleasant but light scent. Read more

I forgot my hair could feel so good. Knots fall out, dandruff and scalp Itch gone. Tried this on vacation and was so Impressed that I ordered some before I got home. The only problem is the conditioner is very thick so I actually add some water to the bottle. It seems expensive but you really only use a dime size of the shampoo and it lathers like crazy. I got this shampoo because I really enjoy the ghost oil by verb. I liked this set, it didn't weigh my hair down and I enjoyed the scent. Read more
Hilde’s Mom—September 13, 2025
As someone with fine hair that tends to frizz (but only in the back — like maybe my mom dropped me on my head when I was a baby or something?), I have a difficult time finding shampoo and conditioner to fit my needs. Add menopause to the equation (drying hair that started breaking and falling out), and I was just going to give up. I’ve used Verb’s Ghost Oil in the past, and it never weighed down my hair, so I thought, “Huh. Might as well give their shampoo and conditioner a try. It’s on sale, and I have nothing to lose — except maybe more hair.” Friends, I’m not a believer in miracles or anything, but this Verb duo changed my hair life. You can ask my hairdresser. The first day my hair was noticeably softer. Within a week my hair was consistently less frizzy. Within four months my hairdresser and I noticed my hair had more moisture and had stopped breaking. It’s been seven months, and I have much thicker hair. I’m not saying Verb grew my hair. I’m saying that it probably added much-needed moisture — without weighing down my very fine hair. The scent isn’t anything that’s going to make your partner go, “Gee! Your hair smells terrific!” But it’s light and not going to interfere with your lotion or perfume. For me, it’s all about the results. I’m happier and more confident with my thicker and softer hair, and I love that Amazon tends to put the Verb duo on sale. Give it a try! Read more

The lid on the shampoo was not secured, so when it arrived about a third of the product was all over the bag and box it came in. Quite the bummer after spending $82 for the larger bottles. Outside of that, the product itself is great. I bleach my hair regularly and this stuff helps keep it healthy as bleached hair can be. Read more

Alright, stay with me. I’m 5’7 with an average-length torso, and my hair is down to my waist. Box dyed for 16 years. Fine, thin. Wash daily. Okay. I’m also a cheapskate with everything but hair products. I used to be a Moroccanoil fan, but after a house fire that destroyed two brand new bottles that cost me $180, I couldn’t bring myself to spend more than $20 since then. Until now. I don’t know who recommended Ghost to me, but I ignored them for a while. My hair started to feel unhealthy so I said screw it, I’m worth it. I went for the big bottles and I was so excited. Day 1: After styling my hair like normal, my hair was SO DRY. It felt like straw. Like worse than it has in years. Like a Dementor said he was tired of happiness and sucked all the moisture out of my hair instead. Day 2: Same thing. It was terrible. I wept over the waste of $80 and almost gave up, but I told myself to trust the process. Just one more day. Day 3: Miracles. When I tell you that after two days of this stuff seemingly ruining my hair, it was reborn again like Jesus himself. I’m on week 3 now and I’ve never loved my hair more. It’s so soft that my husband literally cannot keep his hands off of it. It’s shiny, healthy, isn’t falling out, and it’s so much easier to style. Trust the process indeed. The only reason I deducted a half a star is because the scent is terrible. The shampoo smells awful, the conditioner is only slightly better. It’s faint enough that the other products I use post-shower cover it up, but for such a phenomenal product, I can’t believe it doesn’t at least smell… like something better than whatever it is. Anyway; try it. And if it sucks for the first couple of days, stick with it. It’s worth it. Read more

I bought this because a Youtuber I watch recommended it as a dupe for a more expensive shampoo and conditioner (even though this stuff isn't cheap)! This made my hair look frizzy, dry and straw-like. I kept wondering what was wrong with my hair (thinking it was the weather, or I need to stop heat drying my hair, etc.) - Never thought it was the shampoo/cond. since it came so highly recommended. After a few washes, I decided to go back to my fav drugstore Loreal to see if it made a difference, and WOW - my hair was back. It was soft, manageable, silky, easy to style, - all the things it wasn't with this shampoo. Well, last night I decided to give it one more try just in case it was something else and not Verb. OMG - that horrible, dry texture was back. I even noticed while washing the conditioner out of my hair in the shower that my hair felt coarse and rough. It reminded me of how my hair feels after a day at the pool. - Stiff, frizzy, dry, brittle, YUCK!! Came on Amazon this morning to see if others had this same experience, and several have. Now I'm wondering if this is a counterfeit product? I can't remember if there was a seal on the bottles when I opened them. Thankfully, I can still return them!! Buyer beware - these might be fake, and if not, the Verb brand is not luxury, more like Suave or the cheapest product you can find at Walmart. Read more
