I am quite pleased with how great-looking this vertical laptop stand by ALNYXAR is. The packaging and presentation is great. The assembly instructions are easy to understand. I had this assembled in less than 5 minutes. It is easy to adjust the screws on the base to slide the vertical supports in or out as needed for your laptop. I am so glad somebody came up with this simple but genius idea. I primarily use my laptop in the living room and the only way to tuck it out of the way is to sit it upright in between the sofa and end table. The problem with that is, I have narcolepsy and am forever spilling drinks. I've already lost one expensive brand new laptop to my spilling juice on it when I let her borrow it. This way I can sit it up on the end table without it being in the way or getting easily knocked over. I don't know if it is real wood but it certainly looks like it. This laptop stand is everything I wanted and more! It does come in pieces, but was easy enough to put together that it was not a big deal. I could immediately tell that the quality of the stand was good from the color of it. The black walnut is gorgeous and makes it feel like a luxury item. It’s not an overwhelming size so when the laptop goes in, it still doesn’t feel like it takes up a lot of space which is great. It actually helps the laptop in that regard by having it rest vertically rather than horizontal and it is easier to keep it tucked away safely now. I love that it is adjustable so it is functional for just about every laptop out there no matter the size.
