DO NOT BUY VERTX
I was a fan of vertx for the better part of a year. I got a pair of their pants as a gift, and less than a month later purchased 3 more. I later purchased a Vertx Gamut 2.0, a gamut overlander, and the bag in question. Within a few months each pair of pants was falling apart in the crotch and in different areas of stitching. I would love to say they were just lemons, but all 4 pairs I own have failed in the same way. I took the overlander bag on a 3 day hiking trip, on which it failed in multiple places, and by the end of the trip the chest strap had completely failed and left strap's stitching was all but gone at the bottom. I made repairs during the trip but it went in the trash afterwards. The gamut 2.0 was my every day bad for months, but the straps stitching has failed, and the wear are the bag is ridiculous for a bag that has been lightly loaded and only used to transport stuff to and from an office job. The valet bag itself has held up well, but the strap is absolutely terrible. The rivets on both sides have failed more than once and I've had to repair them, and then today the left one popped completely off causing the bag to fall from my shoulder and break my laptop. I wanted to love vertx so bad, the functionality their product offers in unparalleled, but unfortunately every purchase I have made has been a severe disappointment. Read more
