I needed a dress for a formal I was attending. After looking in the stores and not finding anything that met my needs (comfort, flattering, reasonable and not needing to be altered for the most part), I decided to give Amazon a try at finding a dress for myself. I ordered the pink, black and purple in my size and decided to see which I liked the best. I was hoping to avoid the black only because I wanted a bit of color. The pink was my ideal choice, but the one they sent had a horrible poorly sewn seam so I returned it for another pink. This one also had a poorly sewn seam! That left me with the purple and black to choose from. Both are beautiful - very rich and not cheap-looking. Like anything black, it hides any body imperfections. With that said, I am quite amazed at the quality of the dress! it wasn't shabby. Best yet, it can be hand washed AND it's so comfortable! It hugs you just right, yet allows you to breathe. BTW, I'm about 5'6" and wore 2 1/2 inch shoes. No need to alter the length. You could actually get away with a lower heel as well - perhaps even almost a flat if you want the dress to come right to the floor. Read more

this is Lovely and it stretches! I did keep the XL because I liked the length, but I could put it on without unzipping the zipper. I usually do wear an XL but I did not need to wear any type of spandex item to "hold me in". Great price for a Fancy-Shiny dress and a JESSICA RABBIT costume. Read more
