I just felt the need to clarify due to the previous review. This set is NOT missing a knife. Yes, there is an extra slot included in the block for an extra knife if you wish you purchase one later. (Not unusual for knife sets with a block.) However, this set is just as advertised. It is listed as a 7-Piece Knife Block Set. The set includes 4 knives, a steel, and kitchen shears (6 pieces) with a block (1 piece). Thus, the entire set is a 7-piece set ... including the block. :-) Read more

Very disappointing. The knives are of good quality. Came nicely sharpened and easy to maintain. The sheers on the other hand are a complete disappointment. They broke with basically the first use not even cutting anything very hard. It was basically a partially thawed piece of chicken (no bone). Read more

These knives are made with excellent craftsmanship. I will say the sharpener came chipped but other than that it shipped quickly. I did buy a separate steak knife to finish off my set and I will say I like that they offer an empty slot for you to pick a knife of your choosing. For anyone purchasing I’d make sure to follow the care instructions for your set which you can find on the website. Read more

I was gifted this from my wedding registry, and I was quite excited as I did a lot of research on what knives to get. The knives are fantastic and I can't recommend them enough. The only issue is that the "7-piece" knife set is including a block that has 7 compartment as the 7th piece of the set. Yes, this is abundantly clear from the pictures having only 6 tools + a block, and yes, an informed customer should have noted that. However, the frustrating thing is that the block has an extra slot for a 7th knife. If it had been a 7-piece set, and the block only had 6 slots, then I would have understood and taken the blame for assuming there were 7 tools. Now I'm going to have these very nice knives on my counter with an empty slot on the block, since I'm honestly too annoyed to purchase the last knife separately. Read more
