Awesome Swiss Army Upgrade Knife

Unfortunately, I forgot to leave my Victorinox Super Tinker in the car before heading to the airport for my latest vacation. I was already through the airline check-in and I would have needed extra time to double back and check my bag. Plus, the checked bag fee would have cost me $120 ($60 each way). Such was my quick analysis when the TSA agent asked me if I wanted to check my beloved pocket knife with my suitcase. Rather than miss my flight, I decided to let my old friend go. My heart sank as the agent dropped my beloved multitool into a large bin of confiscated objects. For more than 20 years, that Super Tinker had been my constant companion and faithful friend. I decided to look on the bright side and use my checked bag savings to purchase an even better tool. For years, I lamented the lack of pliers in my Super Tinker and there were many times when I was working on something and I wished I had a file, metal saw and wood saw in my pocket. Working in the electronics industry, I carried a separate magnifying glass in my work bag so I could read the super fine print part numbers on chips and other devices. On outdoor adventures, I typically carry an additional Gerber multitool with more tools. On a day to day basis, I like to travel light and it's good to have a wider variety of tools in one pocket knife. To salve my grief, I decided to purchase a Victorinox Swiss Champ and I am very happy with it. The Swiss Champ is significantly thicker than my old Super Tinker, but it basically the same height and length. Thus, it fits my pants pockets without issue. I also ordered the leather Victorinox belt pouch in case I feel the additional weight is unacceptable. Right now, I'm doing fine with it and I am enjoying the many additional tools, especially the magnifying glass, corkscrew, eyeglass screwdriver, pliers, wood saw, metal saw, file, ink pen, pin, and extra flat screwdrivers. The scissors are probably the most used tool in any of my Swiss Army knives and I would never want to be without those. This tool is a pocket wonder that I will surely protect and keep handy for many years to come. The only other tool that I wish to add would be the wrench. However, with the pliers, I should be able to handle most incidental nuts and bolts. I highly recommend this tool to whomever is looking to go to the next level in the world of Swiss Army tools. The Swiss Champ is a great upgrade from the Fieldmaster, Super Tinker, Tinker, Huntsman or Climber. Read more

So many tools!

Hey there! I’ve been using the Swiss Army Knife Champ for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute game-changer! The craftsmanship is top-notch. Every tool is crafted from sturdy, high-quality stainless steel, making it feel like a reliable companion that’s built to last. But this knife isn’t just about looks. It comes with a ton of handy tools, including a super-sharp main blade for slicing through packaging, scissors, screwdrivers, a bottle opener, and even a mini saw. It’s like having a toolbox in one compact design, perfect for quick fixes or outdoor adventures. Now, I’ll be honest—the knife is a bit too bulky to just shove into my pocket. To solve that little issue, I got myself a sheath that attaches to my belt. It keeps the knife safe and always within reach, without taking up too much space in my pockets. In conclusion, the Swiss Army Knife Champ is an excellent multi-tool if you’re looking for great build quality, a ton of useful features, and a bit of extra bulk if you don’t mind it. It’s a true champion that’s ready to handle whatever comes your way! Read more

Heritage that endures, perfect gifts.

I gave my two nephews Swiss Army knives for Christmas—just as their grandfather once gave me, and his father before him. It’s a tradition that holds real meaning, and this year felt especially poignant with Grandpa no longer with us. The boys were absolutely chuffed. They use them daily, exploring all the clever little tools and finding new ways to put them to good use. Whether it’s opening parcels or tinkering with bits around the house, they’ve truly taken to them. The quality is top-notch, and it’s lovely to see them connect with something that’s been passed down through generations. A cracking gift that blends practicality with heritage. Read more

I LOVE Victorinox! a bit thick for my pocket, consider a belt pouch...

This is a great Swiss Army Knife! I have owned many a Victorinox the last almost 50 years years or so from my early Boy Scout days! I am so happy now 50 years latter I can still buy the same "Fine Swiss watch grade" product I could buy years ago, sadly, not all things are still made with such craftsmanship but owning and using such a well made product early in life taught me true appreciation for "THE BEST" I feel any Victorinox is "THE BEST" but when deciding on the exact model knife to order can be tuff. I have a few specific tools that my knife must have! The large and short blade, I use both for everything and keep a knife on my desk at all time. The 2nd MUST have is the scissors. I use these sharper than sharp scissors for everything on my desk from cutting a tag off of clothing to a simple quick personal hygiene task. Another feature I must have on my knife is the saw blade. These small saw blades amaze me with how sharp it will stay with years of use! I have never found a better tool to as example, cut a quick hole in sheetrock to install a light switch. I find I also must have and use the screwdrivers, I prefer the round side mounted Phillips screwdriver on this specific model to many other offerings that the Phillips is on the end and not round. It's a personal preference as both Phillips design will work. I have always wanted a knife that was a bit more loaded with options, I would even love to have that one knife that has everything on it for the "cool factor" alone and was the reason I purchased this version the "SWISS CHAMP" model as it does have "more" truly nice items and features that i'm sure I would use but I made the very difficult choice to send this knife back. Not that I was not 100% happy with the knife as its fantastic but for ME and when in MY pocket, it is a bit too wide and heavy to feel right. I think it's the pliers that make the thickness of this knife larger than I like and I think I can do without the pliers as a trade off for size. So I am going back to the smaller model that will give me the items I have listed above but feels better in my pocket. I am now considering the Victorinox Fieldmaster as it may be the tool amount vs size I need. I did seriously consider buying a belt knife holder to hold this knife and I would suggest considering that as an option and if you will carry this knife as it would get it out of my pocket but if I'm going to buy a belt holder I may go ahead and buy that huge largest Swiss Army knife that has all of tools that many of us Victorinox fans dream about! Regardless, This knife is wonderful, I love it but I suggest to consider what items on your knife you truly want to have and how you will carry your knife be it a pocket or holder ( belt pouch ).
