I'm now a daily user of this product! I have fine, thin hair and it gives me volume and some texture without any stickiness and doesn't make my oily-prone hair greasy (in fact, it helps me go longer between washes.) I apply a small amount at the crown of my head and on either side of my part. Read more

So i got this for my son to use for an easy way to get his hair done in the morning before school. It saves him from caking on the original type of liquid gel that becomes a hard shell once it dries. He likes that it feels natural and still holds his hair in place for somewhat most of the day. I decided to use it and it was actually a nice product. If hair got out of place just ran my fingers back through to style and it went right back. Only downside is the 3.5 is very small and you do have to actually use a decent amount to achieve a style that will hold. Read more

The media could not be loaded. If you aren’t familiar with this stuff, please allow me to tell you about it. If you’re unfamiliar with it, please read to the end (sorry so long)… To start, the quantity at 0.35 an ounce…believe me, that’s going to last for a long while! So, don’t let the price scare you. It is a VERY FINE texturizing powder. What that means is, if you have fine, thin, or limp hair, this stuff will make you appear to have 2-3 times the hair you actually have. Individual results will vary (of course), but this stuff is great! Will it make an almost bald man have a head full of hair? No. It can’t add hair. But it will definitely take what hair you have, and make it seem so much more. You’ll want to sprinkle *just a wee bit* over your hair, and ‘message’ it around your hair with your fingers. The way I like to do it is to put my arm above my head as high at it will go, then gently tap the (barely) tilted bottle. This will cause the powder to “rain down” on your head. You don’t want to dump a lot…just barely any. The higher your arm, the more coverage area it will cover on your head. What you DON’T want to do is put it close to your head and “aim” it. This will put way too much onto one spot, without affecting the rest of your hair. You can always add more, but once it’s on, it stays until you wash your hair. So start small, and you can add more if you need to. Your hair will feel more coarse, and this stuff is the opposite of slick. You can comb your hair, and the hair stays where you’ve combed it, so you’ll want to use your fingers to shape it. I generally will comb my hair upside down, to add body, then raise my head and shape my hair with my fingers. If your curling hair (yes, I’m a women using men’s hair product - don’t judge) you will want to curl it, and roughly style it how you want it, then shake this onto your head and “shape” your hair with your fingers. If you put it on first, then curl your hair, it will curl, but the minute you brush your hair, it will straighten to wherever you’ve brushed it…without curl. It’s almost like hand powder a gymnast might use…it will take away all moisture and leave a gymnast’s hands where they’ll almost squeak, and grip really well…but for your hair. So, style your hair, tap a VERY LIGHT amount way above your head, then gently tap or message the powder around with your fingers, then shape your hairstyle with your fingers. It works like a charm, will help any “up-do” stay in place (really great for that!), and just makes your hair thicken. If you use 1/4 teaspoon, that’s probably WAY TOO MUCH. It literally takes barely a tap. This 0.35 oz will probably last me 6-8 months. I have shoulder length, thin, fine hair. If I leave my hair straight, my ears poke out the sides. If I leave my hair straight and use this, my hair is so thick, it completely covers my ears, and then some. It looks really thick. As someone who has had fine, thin, limp hair for 55+ years, finding this stuff changed my whole hair game. I’ve finally found “the secret”. If you have fine, thin, or patchy hair, please try this stuff. It’s a game changer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Read more

I only use styling powder for my sons hair as it is very fine and doesn’t look good with wet products like gels, creams or clays. This specific powder does add some texture and volume, but it does not hold near as well as I’d like it to. If you are looking for a loose hold, and a decent bit of texture, this will work for you. If you are using this for a very active 3 year old, there are others that will hold better. Do note that it takes a bit of trial and error to really style your hair with a powder, so be patient with whatever product you choose while you figure it out. Read more

I’ve tried several styling powders from different companies, and this powder from Victory Barber is my favorite to date. Whereas others end up getting kind of sticky and gummy, this powder leaves my hair feeling more natural, yet thicker and easier to “finger-style”. I like that this powder has clay in it, because my hair tends to get oily easily and the clay helps to absorb that. And after reading about the kind of silica that this powder contains, I much more comfortable than I have been with previous hair powders. Some silica‘s can be very harmful if you breathe them in. However from what I’ve read, this particular kind of silica does not seem to be a problem. But I am no doctor, so do your research and make sure you’re comfortable, because this is a very fine powder and you are inevitably going to inhale some. Given my experience with this powder so far, I definitely recommend it. Read more

This product is literally awful. It’s literally not much larger than a tube of lipstick. Rip off for the extreme price! Read more

This is a small bottle (see pic next to a $2 bill) and maybe a bit expensive. However, it works much better than I expected. It is super convenient for travel and/or stashing in your glove box. Read more

I have a hard time finding many products that will hold my hair in place, especially when it’s windy condition’s. This stuff provide a great level of hold, but also seems to thicken up my hair. Presumably adds some volume since the product can get to the roots of my hair. My only complaint is I have somewhat corse hair. So since this stuff is obviously very dry. It can make my hair look frizzy and less clean cut if I don’t add in some pomade. But overall, I’d use again for sure. First product if it’s type I’ve used. So I may experiment with different brands and come back to this one to compare, but based on my initial use. I like this product! Read more
