Bummed that Amazon stopped carrying Victory Super Dry which I love. Figured I might as well try this new product since I like the Victory brand so much. Unfortunately this product doesn’t have great hold and it’s super messy. It is my first time trying any styling “powder” but I can definitely say it will be my last. If you are used to using a texture paste and used to that kind of hold and styling you are not going to like this product. Now I’m going to go find a store that carries Victory Super dry and buy as much as I can in case Victory stops making it. Read more

I typically use a matte wax or pomade for styling my hair everyday so decided to give this powdered stying product a shot to see how it performed. My first impression was that my partner is going to kill me with the amount of powder that ends up all over the bathroom. You can be careful not to make too big of a mess but it's nearly impossible to not have any mess. I do feel like I end up needing to use a lot of powder to really get the best styling ability so that is why it is hard to not make a mess. It leaves your hair feeling like you've applied hairspray without the stiffness. I can still run my hands through my hair but it does have a nice hold to it and can be styled in many ways for the most part. Says to apply to dry hair and that does seem to be best but I've also used it on towel dried hair without much of a difference in performance. It leaves my medium length hair with a natural matte look and does not make it hard and crunchy. Appears to last almost all day without losing its hold and can be restyled without much effort. I love this stuff! It’s extremely adaptable to all manners of hairstyles. My barometer of how good a product is, is whether or not it can withstand a workout. I'm used to using pomades for my hair - powders, not so much. I tried another brand recently and thought it worked well, so I decided to give this a try. I like it. It smells good - I'm not sure how to best describe it, but it good. Not too strong, but not too weak either. One thing that's different is that it feels kind of wet, if that makes sense. When you put it on your hands, it almost feels like it's wet or moist. Not sure how that's possible for a powder, but it is what it is. It does work for me.
