You can turn off the turntable speakers and use your own

JessicaOctober 21, 2024

I don’t know what everyone is talking about. You can absolutely just have your speakers on, you just have to fully turn down the volume on the turntable, and turn the volume in in your speakers. Unless not all speakers have a volume control? Maybe I’m just lucky? 🤷‍♀️ Anyway this this is freaking awesome. Even without my speakers I thought it sounded pretty good… like, surprisingly good, because of the reviews. I still have it hooked up to external speakers because I already had them. But test it out first. If you’re not a huge audiophile you might be happy with what it delivers. Everything works great. There is a cover to put over the needle every time you’re not using the player (awesome). It has 3 speeds for records. I followed someone else’s advice and am using the lever to lower the needle arm after I place it where I want it above it first (less damage to your records that way I guess. It is really fantastic as a blue tooth transmitter to itself or to my speakers. Just a reminder you can’t use your phone and listen to BT at the same time. But I guess that’s for any BTbsoeaker. The radio works well too and is an awesome plus for someone who still listens to wbgo and npr. You just have to mess around with the antenna a bit to get it to stop being fuzzy because it is all crinkled up when you take it out of the box. Highly recommend 😊 Also, I got the “used but like new” option and it was practically perfect and way cheaper. Maybe a scratch or two on the acrylic top but whatever, that’s going to happen anyway. Wahoo to saving money and saving the planet one less wasted piece of trash at a time. Sorry if the photos are blurry and dark, I’m feeling lazy and really just took to show the volume thing. It looks really good in person, especially with more lights on. 😂 Read more

Perfect for the price & sounds WAY better then I anticipated!

DaytryanMooreFebruary 10, 2023

I spent only $44 for this record player and I am blown away at how well it works for the price. I saw other reviews saying that it had a problem with skipping but I have yet to incounter this problem. The speaks I think are only like 2 watt speakers, but dont let that scare you away, they sound GREAT! They better than I expected. The speakers do lack on the bass and lower ends and are sometimes "sharp" on the highs though. The top plastic lid that covers it all does feel cheap but that can simply be removed. The knobs and buttons all feel quality and not cheap. The arm and needle do feel light, which may be way some people experience skipping but If its on a flat surface I can see that being a problem. Overall this is definitly a great first time / starter turn table. Read more

Just not good at all

Jose SotoOctober 4, 2021

I purchased this as a gift to my girlfriend, and as soon as we tried the first record, it started to skip. We saw reviews for the record we bought and others had similar problems with it, so we bought 2 more records, brand new and sealed, and every single song skips. We cannot get through 20 seconds of a playing the records without it skipping. We looked into fixes for this and other turntables have easily adjustable components, but this one has ZERO adjustable components. Not only that, this thing sounds like two old and filthy beer cans making love. The sound is indescribably bad with the onboard speakers (did not try external speakers) and peaks and distorts at less than half volume. After looking into the brand a bit more, it seems as though these cheapy turntables are built to fail, so please avoid this one and try to find a second hand one for the same price and you’ll definitely be better off. I will be returning this product, and likely buying an Audio Technica. I am not sure why this has so many good reviews as it seemed to perform poorly at everything it was created to do. Read more

Works great, but the sound?

Matt JJuly 5, 2025

Plays perfectly, no issues. Radio gets decent reception. Bluetooth is good too. The sound quality is the thing. Obviously it's got small speakers, but that doesn't always mean crap sound. It does here though. It's loud enough, but zero bass. Which sounds super awkward with music with or without bass. Haven't tried the external speaker output yet. Wanted for an all-in-one option. Very subpar at best. Read more

I didn’t post a pic bc it in my daughters room but I can tell you she plays her records of Harry styles & many other of her favorites and it’s a great rectrola . I’m so happy my daughter was able to purchase it bc this is the way I heard music as a youth we didn’t have cd players or iPhones then but to act have her experience this was all worth the while . I give it a thumbs up Read more

Time Machine

Lyn LDecember 26, 2020

OK, I'm old - I have hundreds of vinyl records from the mid-60's to 80's. They've been sitting on my shelves, and I look longingly at my old friends from 50 years ago - I have all the digital equipment, tried a tube amp, but what I've been craving is my old teenage record player. The one with only a couple of knobs, but that could play Led Zeppelin loudly enough that my father came upstairs during "Whole Lotta Love" to break the LP over his knee ;-) This thing is a blast from the past - I dug out musty-smelling albums, and they play well, despite scratches and smutz all over them. I'm amazed, and I love the analog sound. I wonder if some of the complaints about audio quality are from folks who grew up with digital sound? Anyway, I'm loving this - the simplicity, the sound, and the nostalgia. I'd been researching pre-amps, tube amps, all sorts of elaborate arrangements - but apparently I have simple tastes, as this is thrilling me. Read more
