I'll give the quick pro's/con's and then a detailed description. Pro's- Great "oil tan" color Nice look for a messenger bag Good quality overall, leather wears well Great for outings if you're an artist and want to carry your materials Con's- Slightly feminine, not too bad, can be balanced out Size of bag was smaller than expected Ordered this bag and received another, contacted seller and the issue was resolved quickly with the bag I ordered and a return label for the miss pick. Now to the bag, it's made of sturdy leather that seems to wear nicely so far and the color of the "oil tan" is a bit darker than pictured but works well. The lining on the inside is a bit feminine as is has "VISCONTI" written at an angular pattern with the knighted figure next to it, but it blends it well and you never see it from the outside. Though there is an adjustment clasp on the strap that is a shiny gold color with "VISCONTI" on it which is worn over your chest and does seem excessive so balance that out with your outfit. The clasps are magnetic and hold down well for the front pockets, the zippers are well made quality and the stitching doesn't seem likely to fray any time soon. When you're looking at it from the front and have it open there is the main pit for all your things, a small zipped compartment behind that where a cellphone might fit snugly, an open portion behind that a few inches deep where pens might go, same on the other side of the divider, and finally a deeper portion behind that where a tablet or notebook might fit. Now it's small and tight, don't let the picture fool you. I'm a college student and I can only fit one textbook with a notebook in the main pocket, and a moleskin notebook in the back pocket, perhaps squeeze my 7 inch tablet in there as well. A tape recorder fits perfectly in the smallest front compartment, for those writers as well. Read more

Getting a bag to carry stuff around in as a guy is tricky. You want to avoid purse look-alikes, but you don't want to look like you're avoiding purse look-alikes. You gotta fly casual. I needed something to carry around my myriad of electronic devices (Tablet, Kindle, Smartphone), notebooks, papers, etc. when going on business appointments and I didn't want to carry a briefcase. I checked out a few messenger bags and, after a misfire with a Kenneth Cole bag, found this one. PROS - Real leather, easily distinguished by touch and smell - Lots of pockets to hold devices - Well made and seems durable - Unique and very cool appearance CONS - Many laptops would be a tight fit, and either wouldnt fit at all, or the bag wouldn't close. Netbooks would be fine. Tablets are fine. - Front outboard pockets aren't big enough to hold modern smart phones. Not a big deal to me, because there are plenty of other pockets. NOTE - The color you receive is going to be darker than it appears in the photo. I've attached my own photo so you can see the difference. I have found this is normal with leather products on the internet and I ordered the Oil Tan color, expecting it to be darker, which it is. This bag is great. Its real cowhide leather, not bonded, and not cheap. It is rugged and has a study feel. I get the impression I can USE this bag. It will stand up on its own, so papers won't get mangled inside. All-around I really like this thing. It has a bit of Indiana Jones about it. Read more

This bag is of excellent quality. well made, nice leather. There is a huge problem and that is the reason I had to return it: the phone pocket (actually neither of the two front pockets) will accommodate a smart phone. My iPhone was I inch longer than the pocket. the snaps will not close. this is a old fashion designed for a previous generation of phones. Be aware that the costumer is responsible for the shipping charges if you elect to return, in my case $17.50. However is my case Amazon reimbursed me for the shipping costs. Read more

Let me stat by saying that the leather on this bag is rich and super quality. Everything about this bag is high end; the clasp, stitching, strap- its all top shelf. Frankly I really wanted to make this work, but it just didn't. The cons: Its too small. I have a dell 12.5 in. ultrabook (convertible) and while it fit snugly there was no room for my adapter cord, not to mention much else. One I placed my phone, glasses, and wallet it didn't close properly. As mentioned on previous posts the phone pocket in front is a great idea but too small for today's smartphones. I have a Driod x2 and it didn't fit. Finally, the guy factor. Looks-wise its very rich but it resembles a purse more than a messenger bag. If it only had a few more inches in thickness and a bigger front pocket for the phone it might be perfect. Returning was no issue and my search continues. Read more

This bag is worth the buy. It's looks are rich and timeless, perfect for carrying my iPad Air, Kindle, papers, etc. for meetings and travel flights. It is a high quality leather, that I'm sure will look better and better over time. I was quite disappointed when I could not fit manila folders in it, because the tabs on the folder were too wide. I tried everything, and wound up taking my documents (papers) out of the folders and placing them in the bag. I am very organized, and like things where they belong, so this was a bit annoying when I sat in a meeting and had to fumble through papers to find the right set ,instead of having the folder easily accessible. I'll just use paper clips next time, because I'm not returning this bag - I like it too much, and it does not look like a man purse or a simple messenger bag. Read more
