It is also suitable for individuals with medical devices, such as ventricular assist devices, since it does not send any electric current to the body. To operate the scale, start by turning it over onto its back and opening the battery compartment, where the 3-AAA batteries are installed. Remove the plastic tab, which serves as an insulator to prevent the battery ends from touching the metal contact plates. This simple design offers an advantage over many modern gadgets that rely on rechargeable batteries. When a rechargeable battery dies, the entire device often needs to be discarded, but with a simple scale like this, you only need to replace the battery. This feature is particularly beneficial for seniors or older adults, as it eliminates the complications of searching for a USB charging cable or figuring out the correct power adapter. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and the scale is very user-friendly. I compared its accuracy with my high-tech weight scale, and I found it to be within an acceptable range. This is a really nice scale, well made. I like that it is clear on the top, makes it look more attractive in the bathroom. The LED is huge, easy to see without a problem. There is a button on the back to flop from pounds to kg's, if you prefer. Comes with the 3AAA batteries already installed, worked immediately out of the box once you release the plastic from the battery trap. All round good item, solid and holds up to 400lbs. Sleek looking, attractive and works great! For the price, this is a good value and something you will use for years. I tested this against another scale that I had and it is accurate, right on the money! Read more
