I originally ordered just one & two months later, ordered a second. This way there was no waiting for it to dry after washing. Today, after more than a year of daily use between the two, i am ordering a third. The metal clamp at the edge came off. Love the multiple handles, i can grab anywhere across the back to secure my husband. Various medical professionals and therapists have commented on how well it is made. This gait belt is very strong but not secure with the metal belt buckle. I'd give it a 5 star, but I wish it had padding for the patient especially an elderly person. All the padded belts on this site had plastic buckles which I would not feel safe carrying that much weight. After using this a couple of time, I realized the buckle slides loose. I have a standard canvas/cotton gait belt, and it stays very secure. The material on this belt is slippery, and the teeth of the buckle do not pierce the material so that it stays in place.
