This is exact what I need. I used as a safety grap belt for senior who is not very stable on walking. I did not use this gait belt for transfering, but for extra support when walking with the walker. It works great. Read more

Thankfully I haven't needed to use this, but I'm glad I got it. It is more heavy duty than the regular band. Takes longer to put on, but it is well made. Read more

I originally ordered just one & two months later, ordered a second. This way there was no waiting for it to dry after washing. Today, after more than a year of daily use between the two, i am ordering a third. The metal clamp at the edge came off. Love the multiple handles, i can grab anywhere across the back to secure my husband. Various medical professionals and therapists have commented on how well it is made. Unfortunately, I have had to pick him up after he tried to do things on his own. I cannot begin to tell you how many times this belt has prevented other falls. Read more

Secure, Comfortable Support for Safer Transfers The Vive Gait Belt is a well-made, thoughtfully designed transfer aid that strikes a great balance between safety and comfort. The wide 4-inch nylon strap feels sturdy and supportive, and the seven padded handles are positioned perfectly—giving caregivers multiple grip points for lifting or steadying from any angle. It’s ideal for helping someone rise from a chair, move between bed and wheelchair, or walk short distances with extra stability. The quick-release metal buckle is easy to secure and adjust, even for one-handed use, and it stays locked during transfers without slipping. The belt adjusts to fit most waist sizes (up to about 51 inches), making it practical for both home use and professional caregiving. The handles are soft but firm enough to provide good leverage, which really helps reduce strain on the caregiver’s back and knees. The nylon material can feel a bit slick on certain fabrics, especially when used over smooth clothing, so it helps to position it snugly around the waist or over non-slippery clothing. Bottom line: durable, comfortable, and caregiver-friendly gait belt that provides dependable support for safe transfers and mobility training—an essential tool for home health care or physical therapy use. I ordered this for my friend who is temporarily in a wheelchair. This belt allows the caregiver to get her out of the wheelchair easily. This belt works beautifully and she is very happy with it. Read more

This gait belt is very strong but not secure with the metal belt buckle. I'd give it a 5 star, but I wish it had padding for the patient especially an elderly person. All the padded belts on this site had plastic buckles which I would not feel safe carrying that much weight. After using this a couple of time, I realized the buckle slides loose. I have a standard canvas/cotton gait belt, and it stays very secure. The material on this belt is slippery, and the teeth of the buckle do not pierce the material so that it stays in place. I think this section of the belt should be made of canvas Read more
