No size chart so impossible to adjust fit with sling too big. Hard to figure out, even with video.

Customer ReviewJanuary 14, 2026

(3.5 stars) Our family has had more than its share of injuries over the years, so I was glad to have the opportunity to order the Vive Shoulder Sling with Abduction Pillow - Rotator Cuff Sling and Shoulder Immobilizer - Pain Relief After Surgery, Sublexion, Dislocated or Broken Arm - Adjustable Support with Exercise Ball (Medium) Pros: Adjustable straps to change fit, position, and tightness Lightweight Breathable Cushioned shoulder straps Exercise ball Lots of padding Abduction pillow that holds arm at 30 degrees angle for healing Cons: No sizing chart Hard to figure out how to put on, even with video and written instructions It’s difficult for me to evaluate this sling for two reasons. One, there was no sizing chart or measurements given. I’ve been burned with braces, etc. made in China that were too small, so I ordered a medium. It was way too big which meant that I could not adjust the straps to fit. For a frame of reference, I am 5’3 and should have ordered a small, but who knew? I found the directions to put the straps in all of the right places exceedingly complicated, even after watching the video multiple times. The difficulty was exacerbated by the fact that the straps were too long for me. I suspect that if I had ordered a size small and had a PT fit it for me, I would have had a much for positive experience. Because the quality of the sling seems to be good, I am giving it a generous 4 stars, because I can’t give it a 3.5. Honestly, including a size chart is fundamental. At the current price of $39.99 it could only be considered a good value if the sizing were more transparent which would make it easier to adjust to fit. Read more

one of those things you should have on hand in a house...especially if you're active/athletic and/or have kids I like very much how adjustable this is...but there's a reason there are 3 sizes (s/m/l) - I got a large (mostly because I'm having ergonomic issues from working at a computer all my life - and I'm investigating whether having the other sizes avail for nieces/grandkids and/or other adults (but smaller than me, ala medium) - the point here is be sure you do your due diligence and consider which size is right for you I REALLY like that it's ambidexterous - meaning it can be reconfigured for either arm/side - while the adjustability isn't 'simple' it's not overly hard...semi intuitive - but does run out of 'adjustability' unless you choose to start cutting straps - one BOON about this design is that you CAN cut straps...and if you wanted to add hook and loop could also extend them a bit. So what do I mean...well lots of times buckles and slides prevent you from changing the limits - here it's just a hook/loop strap with a holder strap...imagine a small piece of hook and loop which is removable that 'holds' the end piece...so if you need to tighten it up a bit you could remove the holder hook and loop and cut the main strap to whatever you want/need - brilliant design - other designs the plastic sliders and clasps are all sewn closed and your options are cut or not (and cutting there often ruins) so the design is great with the left or right - my only suggestion to you is: remove the 2nd strap as it can make for intuitively figuring things out a little more of a challenge...but with the 2nd strap taken off everything makes total sense...and after proper fitment including that 2nd strap makes sense too -- the only caveat with hook and loop is, it eventually does fail...either the hooks fill with lint, or the loops have all worn to be threads instead of loops...ultimately hook/loop does fail - but if you're not adjusting frequently then this should be a 'life long' purchase (tho it'll wear elsewhere too) I really like that there are cushions and pads in all the right places - yes it's a sling - yes it WILL rub and abrade - but this one manages that problem much better than others - so pressure points are minimised with good padding - as well some rub spots are spread out well - and the design of the ambidextrous strap attachment is intelligent - most simply it's a ring with a pad on the backside...but that gives all sorts of flexibility and sliding that other designs don't permit not so fond of the sling itself...yes it's padded - yes I do LOVE that - but it's not breathable at all - sure there are slits/holes...so you'll not sweat exactly at those holes...but you'll still sweat where they're not (a complaint of other slings was the thin bottom material and the cold feeling) - of course this will depend on how you wear and the temperatures...such as wearing with short sleeves or wearing with a jacket I really like the 'abduction' pillow - in quotes because you're not going to be abducted while wearing (words have multiple meanings) - here this pillow props your arm away from you body also it comes with a nice squeezy/stress ball I absolutely love the 2nd strap (except when adjusting - was a bit confused with 2 straps, best to remove at first and add in later) - way better than the single strap designs all in all this is a fantastic sling price - yeah here's the rub - some things aren't worth the price - I feel this one is...comparing to a 16 dollar cloth cling with a single strap is a foolish choice - yeah it's 40 bucks (dec2026 and prices tend to increase) no coupons or discounts - still tho - 40 for a high quality product isn't unthinkable - and the quality is apparent - personal needs and finances vary but 40 to me doesn't feel excessive but yeah a bit costly...30 would be great, 35 would be okay - it is a nice product one quibble is the strap hooks...they're a bit hard to move/remove (but they're not intended to be used as such all the time - being solo (no helper for adjustments) made removing the 2nd strap necessary until getting the fit right all in all I'm very happy I got this - and hope it stays in the closet more than on my shoulder (but that's the life of medical gear...great when you need it, but kind of in the way when you don't...but this one is worth keeping around) - may also be hsa and/or run through insurance (don't quote me on that, check with your plan professionals) Read more

Very nice sling. The large size easily fits my long arms.

M CJanuary 27, 2026

I've had shoulder issues frequently over the past few years. I've tried a few different slings, this has been the best I've tried so far. Most of the previous slings I've tried have been one size fits all. My arm length is longer than most though, so the previous slings never really fit me well. They were usually just adjustable enough to work, but didn't fit as comfortably as they would've on someone smaller. The large size in this sling fits me really well. It's well padded. All the spots that need to be cushioned are. It's a bit bulkier than the last sling I used for the same injury, but it's still lightweight. I do like this one much better. It does a great job of supporting my arm and keeping my shoulder in place. It's really comfortable to wear once you get it adjusted properly. It does take a bit of time to figure it out, and it's much easier if you have someone around to help you put it on the first few times you try it until you figure out how you want it to fit and how it needs to be adjusted. The velcro straps hold well. Quality looks pretty good. It's the most expensive sling I've tried, but it's also my favorite so far, so it seems like a good value to me. Read more
