Absolutely Wonderful!! So easy to use and excellent quality!

I purchased this for use at work and I have now had it about a week and could not be happier with it. I go through specific details below, but I have a smaller sized desk, a computer, and phone, and some normal desk items on it. I chose the larger version as I also need to be able to place charts and write on the desk and it fit well and I still have extra room. I have to admit I was a little nervous after reading reviews of standing desks in general and a number of concerns about these desks, but I have to say I am 110% happy with this purchase and would purchase it again. I cannot recommend it enough. 1. STABILITY AND MATERIALS - First, the construction is absolutely solid. I saw some reviews saying it looked cheap, but my husband and I both agree that it is a really nice material, solid and sturdy and does not appear cheap in any way. I would have not problem having this on a desk when I had clients in a room. I also read reviews where people said it was unstable, but I have to say mine is as solid as a rock. I adjust the height all the time, I actually lean on it a great deal when writing on charts and never has it wobbled or seemed to tip. Now, I don't know that you can do handstands on it, but for any type of office work it appears to be absolutely solid and stable. My computer screen doesn't shake when I am working on the desk or when I am moving it. And again, I put a fair amount of pressure on it when I am leaning and writing charts and I change the height several times a day. 2. ADJUSTABILITY - So this is where I think this desk absolutely shines. I am constantly working at different levels for different tasks depending on what I am doing and occasionally I still do like to sit. Even when standing, some tasks are more comfortable if the desk is a little higher and some a little lower. I also do sit for other tasks. This desk is 100% able to handle that. There are no "preset" heights that you have to stop at. I can raise and lower it to exactly what works for me for a particular task, adjust it an inch or a centimeter if needed, and it stays right there. No collapsing under pressure, no movement. I don't adjust to it, it adjusts to me. I really like that there are no set intervals I have to use. Also, it is a breeze to raise and lower (absolutely no need for the automatic/electric ones)--- smooth as butter (no clunking at the bottom like I read in some reviews). Again, I am constantly adjusting height depending on my task, so I adjust all the time and it just takes a split second and I don't have to move a single item on my desk. 3. ROOM/WORKSPACE - I have a large monitor, a few items and my phone on the stand (I left the computer base and some items off to the side and I still have a great amount of room. I can open a double pocket folder and write in charts. Just perfect.. I don't feel like I have lost any space on my desk. 4. KEYBOARD SHELF - So yes, the keyboard shelf doesn't move in an out (that would be nice), but after a day I no longer find that to be an issue. The shelf is large enough that I can move the keyboard here or there as I need it so that I am comfortable at any level. When the desk is fully down I am still 100% comfortable typing on the keyboard on the shelf without any issue. The first day or so it took me adjusting the desk placement on my whole desk to find where I wanted to stand, where my hands automatically placed on the shelf vs. where my screen was and where the mouse was-- but after slt adjustments during the day (moving the keyboard to one side of the shelf and the desk a few inches to the left or right), I got it just right and now it feels perfectly natural to walk up to my desk at any height and start working. I would encourage you to play with the location of your screen and the whole desk on your main desk so that you find the sweet spot for everything and that will help greatly. Don't just put everything in the very center and assume it will feel right for you. The keyboard shelf does have a knob so you can adjust the angle of the shelf if you want, but I have to admit mine is just flat and it works well for me, so I can't comment much about the angle options. OVERALL I am completely thrilled with this desk and would recommend it without hesitation. I love it!!! Read more

Great desk riser

DenomicMay 14, 2024

I bought the 32" model as I have always been sitting at my desk but didnt want to drop a ton of cash for one of those big desks (partly due to my computer and not wanting to get rid of this current desk.) and it has been great Ill state my pros and cons PROS: - Sturdy - Feels well built - Easy to put in a standing/sitting configuration - Has zip ties that come with so you can cable manage easy - Great keyboard space which is not complimented from the pictures (this thing is bigger than it looks in the photos) - Enough space for desk items and monitor, don't have two monitors though but judging by my monitor two may be pushing it CONS: - Comes in an obvious box (has the product name on the back and brand, so if you have a history of porch pirates it would be best to get it delivered to a UPS/Fedex store depending on who they use) - The adjustment handles can be a bit sudden if you dont put weight on the actual desk while raising it. - You need to make sure your cords arent in the way of the bottom levers as it could potentially cut the wire, they can be pushed under the stand though Overall this is a good desk riser if you are looking for a cheap yet well made option which can help you stand more, I am 5'9" and my monitor is just about eye height and it doesn't have an adjustable stand. Great unit but one size does not fit all.

GatesterJanuary 28, 2020

I recently returned to work after having neck surgery. I was having problems sitting at my desk for short periods of time before my neck would start hurting. I decided to try this since I was able to function better while standing. I felt a dramatic difference within two days of using this product. The staff notice as well. I will be ordering one for my home as well since I work from there a few days out of the month. This unit is extremely sturdy and required minimal assembly. Note: I will have to build a platform of some type to raise the monitor platform about 4 inches. I am 6’2 and the unit is little shorter than I need for it to be ergonomically correct for me. It has nothing to do with unit itself. When I ordered it, I had a shorter monitor. Soon after I ordered the unit, we switched to a new system at work that has two larger monitors. They work better while standing but are to tall when I sit. My older monitor was perfect while sitting but was a little short while standing. Again, this unit is solid and works as advertised and I would definitely recommend it. However, it is limited if you are taller and need more flexibility. I am confident in my skills that I can create what I need to customize a riser for about $10 in supplies (wood and paint) and my time. There are some adjustable units (usually more expensive) out there but I like to build things. Read more
