I have this little guy in my "spare office bedroom garden"... It used to be an office but now its an unused spare bedroom that i made into a winter gardening room. From my own lettuce and spinache, to the wifes cactus and my daughters sunflower project. This is for my fruit tent, because my cats will eat anything green... they get their own cat grass. It lasts pretty long when you pair it with a smart plug and sensor. When it gets turned off then on again, it starts running. I bought this for a 2x4 tent. The first issue is that water drops accumulate at the exit hole, then drains water back down the exit and drown the mist, essentially stopping the flow of humidity for a few seconds every 10 seconds. When it clears the water out of the mouth, it basically builds up pressure and spits it out like a volcano, so it makes a mess of water drops all over the surrounding area. I definitely had it on the continuous run setting but it was not working as advertised. The second issue is that it only raised the humidity in my 2x4 tent by maybe 10%? ... from 40% without it, to 50% humidity on continuous run. Again, I don't know if its because it is malfunctioning but I'm sending it back and looking for a better one. Read more
Rusting by 5th fill This sat unused for a week or so, and has been filled about 5 times now. Everything looks great except one of the electrodes for the auto-shut off is already rusting, and the cotton wick is starting to discolor at the level of the rust. This humidifier is just what I was looking for my Begonias in my reptile room. It is easy to use and works perfectly. My plants have already perked up more and not getting crispy leaves. I like this much better than the larger humidifiers. It is easy to refill, simple to use, doesn't leak and it lasts for a good day or so. I replaced all my larger humidifiers with these. The compact size let's me place it anywhere in the tent which is a big advantage. I took 1 star off for the short usb cord and plastice piece that covers the top. I used a larger cord without issue. I beg the manufacturer to replace the piece of plastic on the top that you must remove before using. I spent over 20 minutes trying to peel and rub this plastic off and I couldn't get all of it off. Perfect for my Vgrow setup. With the vivosun app I have complete control over the humidity settings. I wouldn't recommend this for larger tents (3x3, 4x4, etc), but it's perfect for smaller grows. The reservoir is compact for smaller grow spaces. Higher humidity setting require more frequent fill ups, but 55%ish is very easy maintenance. If you have a vgrow I'd consider this a must have.
