Forget raising your suspiciously-fast-growing plant in soil or coco. It craves a constant stream of water, nutrients, and oxygen. A DWC system is exactly what your plant wants, and you'll find yourself growing a jungle if you let it get it out of hand. The engineering is well thought and simple: the air pump pushes air into the tubes, which in turn moves the water up and oxygenates it. The assembly was not hard, but took a few minutes of focus and precision to get the tubes hooked up right. Put this bucket system in a Vivosun grow tent, with a big grow light and some good genetics, and you'll be growing the most potent medicine in the neighborhood. Read more
Easy to assemble and operate. Don't even need the instructions if you are familiar with how Hydro works. The booklet it comes with is very informative and has everything you will need to produce a successful crop other than seeds and water. Stay on top of your PH and PPM daily for best results! Be careful with the top drip function as it can Overwater if you run it on high all the time. I installed all the flow valves (they give you 4) onto those top drip lines so I can control the amount of water being released from the top. You will want to do the same thing with those valves. DO NOT place them on the line going to the airstone! No need to control that airflow as you want it on maximum all the time to give your plants plenty of fresh O2. Overall, great starter kit and would buy again and recommend. The ONLY complaint I have is that the (2) airlines should have gone through the top basket/ lid, instead of the side of the bucket. When you lift the top off to change water, it would have been easier to have everything also come out with it (the airstone line and top drip line) so the roots are unmolested. With the lines in the side of the bucket as they come, the roots will tangle into those lines and give you some headaches if that happens imo. Read more
Worked perfectly Can't recommend enough. Used for several plants and 2 tents now. Read more

Nice setup, and very easy to use. Grew nice tomatoes and bell peppers over the winter. P.S. just a side note. When dumping out the water cover the sight tube opening so you don't lose the ball float . I pushed a needle through the top of the tube so I didn't lose the other. The ball is really not needed just makes it a little easier to see water level. Anyways , For beginners wanting to try dwc this is a great starter . Just make sure to read up on ph , feeding ect with hydro before trying its a lot different than soil. Read more

Extremely Unhappy with your DWC Hydroponic System The following is the message I sent to Vivosun about their DWC system. BTW, it took a while to figure out how to send it because when you click on Product Support, it doesn't take you to product support. It takes you to a page with a few items about how to use the product. Luckily, (or so I thought), it has a link to their Product Support Page. Too bad that doesn't take you to their product support page either. It takes you to their main sales page of all their products. I never did find a support page, but I did figure out how to send them an email. Here it is: Sirs, I purchased your two-bucket DWC Hydroponic System from Amazon. As I'm sure you know, the parts do not all fit together properly. Specifically, the tube attaching to the Water Level Tube does not fit very well. The other parts accept the tube because they are tapered and/or smaller. It took me an hour to attach each Water Level Tube and only by using other tools, Vaseline, and hot water. Worse than that, several of your parts failed before installation. Specifically, the sealing rings are bad and easily separate into two pieces. One of them was already that way before I opened the bag containing them. If I remember correctly, three more of them fell apart trying to install them. Right now, I have a bad leak in one bucket caused by the failure of the sealing rings, but both buckets were assembled with bad sealing rings because that is all I had to work with. Therefore, I cannot trust either bucket. Send me 8 new sealing rings so I can replace all of them. Send me two Water Level Tubes that actually fit the rubber tubing. Have the new parts delivered within a week. I'm not a vindictive man. Check my reviews on Amazon, and you will find that the great majority are 5 star reviews, and none of them are as angry and upset as I am at the moment. So if you want me to amend my current one star review on Amazon, you had better get me my new parts right away. . Read more
This is a good system with flaws. First and foremost, the air is interconnected, but the buckets do not circulate with each other. Great if you end up having a problem with one of the plants. Because it's one air unit, all of them need to be running, which can be challenging if you don't have four plants going at once or if they are not on the same grow cycle. The biggest flaw with this is the top watering ring. I've seen newbies leave this on 24/7 and wonder why their plants are dying. Top watering is so unnecessary for this setup. It's nice that it has an on/off switch though. In the early stages, I will top water for 30 seconds to 1 minute max to get penetration, but that could be accomplished by filling through the pebbles anyway. Overall, it's not a bad setup, but if you're brand new to DWC, you will struggle. Read more
