I bought the unit because I had an old accordian that smelled musty from storage. I put the accordian in my car and used the unit to eliminate the musty odor and to eliminate the wet dog smell in the car since I take my dog for hikes in that car. I did a sniff test on the accordian after running the unit and letting it air out. I was amazed! It completely eliminated the musty smell! The car smells great too but it could use one more treatment because I left the mats flat on the floor. The next time I will lift the mats up so both sides are exposed to the ozone. We are going to use it in the house next to eliminate the wet dog odirs. I feel very good about the purchase - it does what it reported to do in the ad. The price is a lot cheaper than hiring a service. Read more

I bought this with reservations that it would actually work and to be honest, I figured I would be returning it! We have a rental home that reeked of cigarette smoke. No amount of cleaning or candles or air fresheners made a difference. I ran the machine for 2 hours in every room, one after the other. The smell it emits is very strong and keep in mind you need to leave the room as soon as you turn it on! I left the house every time I started the machine. When all rooms had been "ozoned", I opened the windows to get some fresh air in. The smoke smell was completely eliminated. The true test was having my son come over with his friends - none of them could smell any residual cigarette smoke. The place smells amazing, even 5 days later. I plan to run the machine in all rooms one more time before renting it out. Now I can't wait for another smelly rental to come up just so I can use this again. I'll admit that I am a smoker and I plan to try this in my stinky car soon. All in all, I am just extremely impressed with this machine and I think you will be, too! (By the way, the local rental store wanted $150/day to rent their ozone generator! It may have been more powerful, I don't know, but at the price for this generator it is a no-brainer investment for any landlord!!) Read more

I like the smell this leaves. I would describe it as a tangy, metallic smell. My wife doesn't like the smell, half my kids like it the other half don't. It does however eliminate moldy, musty smells. I've used it on my boat and a car so far, I left it on overnight on my boat (40 foot trawler) and there was a hazy fog so thick I thought it had caught on fire. But now they both have a......clean, metallic, pleasent, somewhat harsh smell that I like....as the metallic smell fades a few weeks later it is more clean smelling than metallic Read more

This was easy to use. It took a total of 6 hours to completely rid an old small house of its dank, strong musty smell. This was also used successfully in an environment that had a terrible smell from pets, in conjunction with the use of a urine-enzyme product on the carpet. Just make sure to stay out of the treated area exactly as the instructions suggest, so you don't end up with a lung injury from ozone. Results smells a little bleachy, which is the closest description I can think of, but thankfully it did the trick. Read more

I can run this for about 10 minutes and still smell ozone 24 hours later. Everything I've read suggests ozone should convert back to oxygen within 30-120 minutes. That hasn't been our experience. But I've run this in some moldy smelling closets for about 10 minutes with towels sealing the door and it gets rid of the moldy smell. However the ozone lingers in the house 24 hours later. Breathing in ozone is not safe nor healthy, so really if you're going to use this inside any part of a home, you should plan on being gone from the home for at least 48 hours. Read more

I waited until after I had used the machine a few times before reviewing it. I just purchased a rental property that had a bit of an odor. The house is 1325 sq feet. I turned on the circulation fan on the hvac system, set the unit by the intake for the air and set it for 2 hours. I came back the next day, it smelled better. I reset the machine for another 2 hours, went home and returned the next day. The house smelled "clean" I know they say like after a rain, but smelled a little more like chlorine to me, but I liked it. Now, 4 days later, still smells clean. The product works, glad I purchased it. Read more

We had a rental house that was uninhabitable. The odors from filth, smoke, and animals was overwhelming, even outside the house, even after gutting the house. Ran this in the basement and first floor and the odors are pretty much gone. After you run it, there seems to be a fog or mist in the air and smell like a swimming pool. But as that dissipates, the air freshens. Worth the price. Read more
