I purchased my TV a little over a year ago. A few days ago I was adjusting the angle/postion of the TV by less than half an inch due to a glare and the leg snappd off and broke inside the TV. This 75 inch TV fell onto me and then crashed to the floor and even though it did not fall far from the ground, you can see by the picture that this TV completely shattered. I purchased the Asurian warranty and they refused to cover replacing the TV and said they would only cover internal "malfunctions". How the leg snapped off inside the TV is beyond me, but that sure sounds like a malfunction of the product. When filling my claim with Vizio, the customer service representative made a comment after saying they would cover my claim, and said that there had to have been a ton of force for the leg to break the way it did and slammed down, dropped or thrown. Presently, I am on crutches for an injury, there is no way that I had the physical strength before being on crutches to freely toss around a 75 inch TV that weighs approximately 80-100+lbs before. After telling me that they wouldn't replace their defective product, the VIZIO representative told me that because she felt bad for my situation, that she spoke to her managers and was able to get me a $200 rebate towards another VIZIO TV similar in size and that I would need to purchase this new TV within 30 days, upload a picture of the receipt and picture of the product/serial number. VIZIO didn't want to cover damage directly resulting from their flawed and defective product and this is not the first time of working with Asurian that they weasel out of covering a claim. Collectivly, with the purchase of the VIZIO TV, the ASURIAN Protection Plan, and after taxes I basically paid about a $1,000 to have a 75 inch TV for about a year. Needless to say, I am Read more
