I am loving this ShaveMate TRI-3 by VNU compact mini foil shaver. The compact size is perfect for small areas. It’s really all that I need to neaten up the back of my neck and to keep my sideburns tamed. The shaver feels comfortable to hold and it fits in the palm of my hand maneuvering small areas with ease. I sometimes use it to shave under my arms and it glides on the skin leaving my skin smooth. The shaver charges quickly with USB-C and the charge last a long time. It is supposed to provide up to 60 days of standby time. That’s impressive! One of the cool features is that it has a travel lock that would prevent you from turning the device on accidentally, especially while traveling and running down the battery. Love that! I also love its magnetic cap closure. The ShaveMate shaver is a high quality shaver that feels very durable, not flimsy at all. The desert titanium metallic color looks so elegant and sleek. I love the attractive carrying pouch that’s constructed in a nubuck-like fabric. I believe that this device is suitable for a man or a woman. Not sure what I expected, but it wasnt this. Ive never used a foil shaver before, so MAYBE im using it wrong, but it doesnt work as well as I thought it would. It takes multiple passes along parts of my body to get the hair to actually shave off, even while my hair is short, and after its grown a little bit after the initial shave, it still takes 3-4 passes to get a bald spot where I want it. If youre desperate for a foil shaver and dont want to spend upwards of 100 dollars or something like that, I guess you could buy this. Just dont expect a good shaving expereince. Read more

I was intrigued by the concept of a travel shaver. After all, every little bit of space counts when you're packing for a trip. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that the tradeoff of taking a smaller shaver is a reduction in practicality compared to a full sized shaver too, as it takes 2-3 times longer to shave because of the smaller surface area. As far as the quality of the product, it's very nice, has a good weight and feel to it, and is a beautiful design. It's a little louder than my usual electric shaver, but not bad. It comes with a small charging adapter too. Overall, I think this could work well for smaller, more intimate areas, but if you're looking to shave your face every day while on vacation, you're probably better off sticking with a full sized shaver. The media could not be loaded. This product surprised us. I bought it for my husband because he travels a lot for work with only a carry-on, and he always had issues bringing a razor blade. This has helped a lot on these trips and also in daily life. He is a man who shaves every morning, but sometimes after lunch, signs of stubble start to appear, and sometimes when he has important meetings, he ends up taking it to work and using it during the day to make sure he looks presentable. I love the design of this shaver - very easy to assemble and disassemble, the magnetic lid and shaving component snap securely in place, simple to clean, charges easily on USB-C. No proprietary cord is great. The battery lasts pretty well. And it looks very clean. The biggest downside is that it doesn't doo much with hair that isn't very short stubble. Let it get a little long, and this won't be the tool for you. With some longer hairs, I went over them repeatedly and it took multiple passes to cut them. For me it didn't do a good job at trimming the edge of a goatee - just didn't work that well except in the center, so it was hard to find a way to make a clean line. And it is narrow, and works best in the center. So that adds passes, and time to shave. At $40 at the time of review, this looks like a great, premium product. But it falls short of being really useful for my purposes. I think someone who is very consistent in shaving daily and doesn't mind taking their time (or is shaving a smaller area) would find it useful. But for me it really didn't live up to the promise.
