The powder has a fine, lightweight texture that blends easily into the roots leaves a bit of a residue feeling that feels...almost sticky .. but dry.. but not sticky.. i can only explain this by referencing a spider web but not sticky. Like a powder spiderweb in a bottle, thats not sticky to you because your the spider.. but is to your hair... im thinking this is what they used back in the day when they " powdered" their hair. And its almost brilliant. This would be great if you didnt get to wash your hair one day and its greasy and you add this. A LITTLE goes a LONG WAY. medium hold adds natural volume and shape while keeping a matte finish. The bottle is compact but should last a long time since you only need a small amount. Great quality, hold volumes throughout the day. Perfect for adding lift to flat or fine hair. The only thing i have ever had that actually works to create volume and not fail when you have flat,thin and even oily hair- the stuff really is brilliant... i will likely continue using it now that i know it exists. My only complaint is the weird bottle. Ifk if im opening it wrong ow what. It looks like its supposed to have a sprayer attached to it, or a pump, it has a spring.... i think i just cant get the lid to come off! This would probably be great on wigs too! Read more

This Kings Domain Melbourne Volume Powder is really great. Summary: provides healthy good amount of volume, incredibly effective dispenser (mess free application), no white cast This is one of the best volumizing powders I've ever used. This one has it all - it's effective AND in a great dispenser -The fragrance is akin to what you'd find in a men's body wash but you can't really smell it once you spray it onto your hair. I like that as I really don't want to smell any scent on my hair. - The dry powder sprayer is GREAT. I've had several - some blast hair and overly concentrate onto one spot, some the powder seems to get stuck in the nozzle but this one is perfect. I sprayed about 10 times and each one came out perfect. It's a very light mist that evenly distributes itself throughout your hair -Although it goes on white, you see the whiteness melting away as soon as it hits your hair. It's almost magical. Normally even after spraying I have to work it in with my fingertips to get rid of the white cast but not with this one. Volume powder This powder is easy to use. You do have to be careful when opening it to make sure you just take the cap off. It pulls up not twists. So keep that in mind. The powder comes out of a little spray type thing and goes into a circle wherever you aim it. One pump is enough to start. You get alot. It does seem to absorb some oil from your hair and it does add some volume to your hair. The powder is white so you have to kind of fluff it in your hair some. The only thing I dont like is how it feels. Its like a tacky feeling in your hair. Overall it does what it says and is easy to use. Its a nice product. I think the price is ok. Arrived quickly and with no damages. At the time of review it was $16. Its a small bottle, but it has a lot of loose powder in it. It is fine like baby powder or cornstarch but has an invisible texture, stiffness, fine grittiness, heavingritting, Have never used this type of product, the instructions on the bottle says pump it into your hair. I assumed, before opening it, it wS pump bottle, its not. When I opened the lid, it was just loose powder, causing it to spill everywhere. I than with trial and error, I figured it out ( I think?). My hair is fine and thin, and this added fullness and volume, but became to heavy for MY hair type and texture. It is white in color, but completely disappeared when applied. It is transparent with a matte ending. There is no scent. It easily washed out, but if you are a sweater or in humid/ wet areas, you will lose its consistency. Read more

There is a light mist of power that comes out when the top of the bottle is pushed down. Adding a few sprays at the roots of the hair in a couple different areas then rubbing it in creates volume and texture. Adding in some styling gel after adds more shape if desired but isn’t needed. The hair feels slightly thicker and dryer once it is in but it doesn’t feel heavy. At first the mist creates a slight white powder color in the hair but it disappears immediately after rubbing it in. This product is very easy to use. You spray it into the roots and work it in. It reminds me of dry shampoo as it will absorb oil and sweat and remove shine for a refreshed look. I didn't notice any smell and the powder although it comes out white is so fine its easily worked into roots and becomes invisible.
