I bought this unit to replace my old Voopeek that I still use, but this new one has more to it. The camera was super easy to set up and the quality of the photos and videos are great. The night pictures are clear. I really like the solar power as changing batteries can be a pain and expensive. The wifi access to the photos is also handy and works well. The app on my phone and interface on the camera connect quickly so I can view and edit photos from inside my house. I would definitely buy another! Count me as a satisfied customer. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I have been using the solar power TC08 trail camera for about 5 weeks and the experience has been great. I've had the camera on a tripod in 5 or 6 locations in my yard, ~2000+ photos and video samples and the solar cell has kept the onboard rechargeable battery at full capacity. It is mid-Summer for us, so I will report back on the battery experienced in six or seven months. From the attached photos, you see I capture birds, bees, deer and a bobcat in my year. I was pleased that the camera triggered on a flying bird in the third photo and managed to have keep focus on the wren in the birdhouse while capturing the good color of the foxglove and other flowers around; the camera was about 0.5M/1.5ft away from the flowers, so the depth of field focus for near subject suffered a little. The Wild Turkeys parade their chicks nearby and the group photo shows good color and focus at distances beyond .5M/1.5ft. The deer photo was taken in the rain from about 4M /13ft. The capture I am most excited about is the Bobcat. I wish it has been walking toward the camera, nonetheless, the 3 photo burst followed by the 10 second video capture it pretty well. The setup of the camera was similar to a model from 3+ years ago. I set the photo quality, count of snaps, duration of the video and interval time between. Right out of the box, there is very little setup and the menus on the device controls or the mobile app are simple enough to navigate. I had a 64Gb SD card on hand and the formatting was very quick. I let the internal battery charge overnight, popped other AA standby batteries in, mounted it on my small tripod and set it outside. So far I am very pleased with the camera. The battery and solar cell are no-maintenance at this point. The photo quality is good to very good and more than suitable for the purpose. Read more

I really like this solar camera- I have two other cameras and battery life is always a concern. This camera has a built-in lithium battery that is recharged by solar. It's the perfect camera if you want to leave it for months and not have to worry about battery life. Things I really like: 1. Seems well built and I think will last a long time 2. Resolution is very good. To save memory, I use a lower resolution setting. 3. Screen is full color and easy to navigate. I read the manual, but it's easy to figure out without it. 4. Wifi/bluetooth is great. I downloaded the app and can now download photos from the camera that's in my backyard facing the chicken coop, watching for foxes/raccoons at night. Super convenient. 5. Can take high storage microSD card. For <$15, I bought a 128GB card off amazon. Can hold 32,000 pictures. Nice feature. Things I don't like: 1. Instruction manual doesn't explain what the Timer 1 and Timer 2 are. I assume they're "recording times", but it would be nice if this information was added. 2. The clips that close the camera are plastic, not wire clasps. They're holding up fine, but I wonder if they'll still hold up after I open/close the camera a few hundred times (hoping to use the app to download photos so I don't have to open the camera door too often). Overall, I love the features and think this is a great camera. Am very happy with my purchase. Read more

I like the picture quality and motion detection range of this camera, but they really screwed up a couple of things. I've also owned 3 of their TC-15 cameras. Only one still working. They all have suffered from poor quality control in the electronics. The screen is useless in daylight with small print against noncontrasting backgrounds. The TC-08 has another two maddening features. It misrecords the time stamp on the saved mp4 files by minus 7 hours, AND in this model they have chosen to separate the saved jpg and mpg files in separate folders and in separate numerical sequence. The TC-15 followed the regular jpg then mp4 in the same folder and numerically adjacent format. These two flaws together make it just miserable to put together the stills and vids in sequence. (the time stamps don't match up!). One final important point. The wifi is only available to you thru downloading an app to your phone designed in a seemingly hostile authoritatian foreign country (why would you do that?). It is NOT plug and play wifi to your own router. Read more
