This is a fantastic space heater for a nursey. We previously tried to use 2 different Lasko ceramic tower heaters with all these bells and whistles and they were constantly inaccurate with the desired temperature and had very loud on/off clicking noises that would at times wake our baby. We purchased the Vornadobaby Tempa Space Heater (not the Sensa) to try it out after being so disappointed with Lasko and we are SO glad we did. The features on it are simple yet just WORK every time. It does take a day or so to figure out the dial temperature control as there is no degrees set on it to know the actual temperature but we usually have ours set to 2.3 on the dial and this equates to around 68-71 degrees Fahrenheit in our nursery which seems to be the preferred temp our baby likes to sleep. It quietly turns on/off as it hits the mark and never overheats the rooms which the Laskos did. The safety features are also great. I would 100 percent recommend this to any parents looking for a space heater for a nursery. Read more

I use this for my child with severe autism. I did have to put nail polish over the light so he didn't notice that it's on and play with it in the dark. It also makes noise so i use an air filter in his room to hide the quiet sound of the heater. I like the safety features on it. The heat isn't going to burn you if you are too near to it, like with a regular heater. I can leave it on very low all night and his room doesn't get too hot or too cold. There is a little lever thing that automatically covers the on/off switch when it's in the off position. I don't believe a baby could turn it on. I'm not sure about a toddler though - especially an older toddler. Read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the efficacy of this tiny heater that *never* gets hot. Like many consumers, I have a sort-of metric for purchases, and hot-to-touch was a key factor. This little heater sufficiently heats a 200 sq. foot bedroom located on the north side of a well-shaded the house that is always cold or cool--even in the summer. It's tip over function is stellar: I had occasion to inadvertently set the heater on the cord, as a result, the unit did not turn on because it was not level. Being from the northeast, I've had experience with ceramic, oil, and radiant space heaters, the VornadoBaby is by far the best investment I've made compared to all others--and I am a considerate buyer who researchs nearly every purchase for cost, efficacy, aesthetics, and more. The VornadoBaby is, incidentally, a very low-profile and small-footprint unit ideal for limited space and aesthetics. The number one benefit is that we no longer operate the furnace on medium to high during the winter months at nighttime: the the furnace can be set on its lowest setting to heat the house and the space heater is more than sufficient in the bedroom. It also has an air-circulation setting that is ideal to maintain the warm air flow without producing additional heat--so, the unit also maintains temperature. Read more

I bought this heater a few months ago based on the reviews here on Amazon and I planned on using it in my sons room. I didn’t open the box until recently because the weather was getting cold. After using off and on for a couple of weeks, my electrical breakers kept tripping in the bedroom. With further investigation, I see the cord and plug area is ALL BURNED UP on this Vornadobaby heater!!!!!! What in the ENTIRE world is this???!!!!???!!! So, a few points. My electric is up to code. There is nothing else plugged in the outlet where this heater was located. I use for a few hours and then turn it off. There is no continuous use of the heater. Like anything else, I should be able to plug it in the wall and it work as expected. It did….. to a point….then it would turn off. And then the burned wires mess…. But I digress. Did I get a defective model? Maybe? But I soon realized the reason it kept cutting off was because the Electrical breaker in my house kept getting tripped. And dear God, if my electric wasn’t up to code and the electrical breaker didn’t work, who knows what kind of fire hazard this heater could have done to my sons room!!!!!!!!!!!! Having said all of this - BE VERY VERY CAREFUL… I wish I could give it 0 stars! I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I am extremely disappointed that the heater marketed for infants/kids rooms could have started a fire in my house. This thing is a menace! I am Never NEVER buying from these jokers again and telling anyone who is considering just to pass and try another brand. If I could get my money back, I would. Believe me, I tried but I’m beyond the return period. Pissed OFF in NJ. 😡 Read more
