I live in a very rainy climate and travel heavy everywhere I go. I appreciate that it is comfortable to wear, waterproof, large - but not too large, can see into it reducing the amount of digging around for things, and stores find it less suspicious than a backpack you can’t see into. The plastic is moderately thick. Definitely not thin and definitely not extremely heavy duty either. Padding on the straps make it comfortable to wear. Zippers are strong and smooth.
