This book bag is very sturdy with several different pockets and ample room for storing your items in it. There is a strong smell of plastic at first but it goes away after a while. This is my second purchase of this book bag. My first book bag ripped open because I slightly overstuffed it last summer and the plastic was more malleable due to the heat so it tore away from the stitching. This has been quite a surprise. I did not expect this to last but a few months. So far so good. We are 4 months into the semester and we are going strong. It is comfortable to wear. It has not ripped, torn or anything. I LOVE that it is RED. I can find my child in a room full of children. I can find his backpack in any pile of backpacks and pull it immediately. It is suprisingly sturdy. It holds a decent amount of binders. When he has "C" day - we can get 3 binders, 2 spiral notebooks and 2 books. It is amazing really. I do recommend this one for sure. UPDATE; I contacted the company directly via email about this. They were gracious enough to return all of my money. While the product was still flawed, based on the companies response, I’m upgrading my rating to a 4 based on their less than 48 hour response. Purchased this in May for the 25-36 school year. Started using August 11th. Not 3 months in and the strap has ripped off. I really thought since it’s advertised as “heavy duty” it would at least last for six months. The kids carry heavy books and a laptop all day so I understand there’s a lot of wear and tear on them, but using only two months was very disappointing. The soft thickness and durability of this back pack is really good! I live in houston TX and it gets really hot/humid out here in the summer. I work at pro stadiums and I've never had any issues with this bag getting in. It's got enough room to keep at my pens/sharpies and bar blades in the front zipper. (I wish it had double zipper on this pocket though) my bar kit and other misc items fit in the big part no problem. I use this just about daily and it started tearing at the top where I grab it the most when I get out of my car, but after a year and a half I'd say that it's more than reasonable! I like this backpack compared to the smaller one that we had for travel. Much easier to get through the TSA and more convenient when traveling because of the size to store more things. Highly recommend it, it appears to be durable, and more reliable. Read more

Love that they offer the color orange. My son wanted an orange backpack for school and needs clear. I love all the pocket options as well to help keep them organized. It had plenty of room for his school supplies. However while it seemed durable it only made it to Christmas break (5months). The plastic started breaking apart from the fabric at the bottom and around the cup holder pockets. I now have to order another backpack that will hopefully last til the end of the school year.
