Why is it when you find a tub/shower accessory that looks good and functions well, the attachment included in the package is usually garbage and it keeps falling off. That was the case for my soap dish so these looked like a good solution. And if the side piece on my dish was just just a bit narrower it would have worked perfectly. For the shown use with a wire-like caddy, I'm sure it would have worked well. The relatively thick but still moderately flexible backer for the hooks had no trouble matching the gentle curves of the mount area on my tub. And the adhesive seemed plenty strong. Since I was using this for a thicker caddy than shown in the listing, I really expected the hooks to snap as I forced it in, but that didn't happen. Unfortunately, the thicker edges meant my caddy didn't really snap into place under the rounded edges of the hooks so the retention wasn't great. But that wasn't a fault of the product, just not a match for the caddy I wanted to use it with. Although the mount is clear plastic and adhesive, the relatively large area of the backer doesn't disappear into the background color as much as I had hoped it would. It doesn't jump out at you, but it's noticeable. Used on a deeper caddy, with shampoo bottles and the like in front, it would probably hide better. But for a shallow soap dish, it's right in view. I really like the shower caddies that stick right to the wall of my shower. I have one fail every few years and am happy to have these replacements. The best thing to do is remove the old one with a hot blow dryer, and then use CLR to get any scale off the wall. At that point, I rinse and dry a few times and then clean the area with rubbing alcohol. After that, I have to use the new adhesive devices and let sit for 24H without using the shower. These stick really well and I look forward to getting a few years out of them! Read more
