Amazing!! These knives cut through anything!!! Read more
Nice set of Asian knives. We do not have any knives of this type in our kitchen yet we do prepare a lot of Asian dishes so I thought it would be good to try them. They are remarkably light and easy to handle. They are weighted and designed for use in preparing veggie and meat for cooking. The white handle is interesting, and although its not my first choice it does make them stand out against the rest of our knife sets. They are indeed very sharp and because they are light weight it’s easy to go fast but be careful till you get used to the feel of them in the hand. This is a good brand name and the set is fairly expensive so I expect it will withstand at least a few years of consistent use. So far we are enjoying them, even my husband who has big hands finds them comfortable and easy to use when preparing different dishes. Read more

These are good quality knives, but I'm not sure I'd say they're worth the price. I've had some others around the same price point that felt more sturdy. They do cut well though and seem like they should hold up to use over time. Overall they're good, but not excellent, in my opinion. Read more
I have really tried to give these knives a fair chance. I've even considered that my expectations might be skewed because of have some “professional” forged Zwilling knives from the early 80's that I've been cooking on my entire life and absolutely love, but I think I'm being fair when I say these are fine knives, but nowhere near justifying the very high price. At half the price I might consider buying these, but the reality is that I've picked up quite a few really nice knives between 7" and 8" -the largest knife in this set is 6"- that were priced around $20-40. All of them are forged, and they've held up really well under months of daily use with nothing more than occasional honing. I would never have considered "knock-off" kitchen knives a viable option, as I was strictly a Wusthof and Zwilling guy, but now they're my daily drivers and even my forged German knives are collecting dust. All of this is to say that I don't have to compare these stamped Wushofs to forged German knives to say that they aren't a great value. And you could point out that it isn't fair to compare these stamped German knives to forged knives from China, but the reality is that I can put together a set of forged Chinese knives like those in this set for well under $100 that will not only outperform them, but will also look and feel a heckuva lot better while doing it. I really want to love these Wusthofs but unfortunately I don't. I just can't justify spending over $200 for stamped knives that frankly feel cheap. Even looking at the edge, the finished sharpening was done with a rough grind, just check my photos. This was as bad as my worst "cheap" knife, and the better ones had polished razor sharp edges. Maybe there is something magical about the German steel such that they will hold an edge even better than even their forged counterparts, or maybe they'll demonstrate some other fantastic ability, but the reality is that they're too small for serious use, and they feel cheap, and I'm not going to keep using them when I have excellent knives that are well balanced, beautiful, and perform fantastically at a fraction of the cost. I'm sorry to say that I recommend looking elsewhere. Read more

I suppose it's the inclusion of the Santoku style knife that makes this set "Asian", but I'd say this is just simply a solid knife set without being niche branded. The two 6 inch blades function as "large", the Santoku as "medium", and the paring knife as "small". If you are preparing larger meals you may need larger knives. But if you are primarily preparing food for one or two people, I'd say this knife set is just the right size, and I'm adopting them as my "daily drivers". The fact that the paring knife is serrated I find to be particular helpful. They are quite expensive, and were this not a review sample, I'd have to balk at the high price. Having that said, my experience so far with Wusthof is that they make quality knives that seem to deserve the price that goes with the name brand reputation. Read more
If you want a smaller knife set that still feels top-tier, this Wüsthof 4-piece is a winner. They’re razor-sharp, lightweight, and really comfortable to hold, with a nice balance that makes it feel really ergonomic in the hands. The sizes are great for daily cooking, especially if you’ve got smaller hands or just don’t want to wrestle with big chef’s knives. They’re definitely a splurge, but I feel that the quality, craftsmanship, and how good they feel to use make them worth it. I'm obsessed with the all-white look and keep them well away from staining ingredients like turmeric in my kitchen. Read more
First and foremost, I LOVE Wusthof knives and am thrilled to share my thoughts on this exceptional 4-piece gourmet Asian knife set! As a proud owner of a Wusthof knife block, I deeply appreciate the quality each knife brings. Often on the road in our fifth wheel trailer, I’ve had to settle for subpar alternatives—until now! This knife set literally makes all the difference in the world! The sharpness and quality materials truly stand out, and the comfort grip makes them unmatched. With a full tang extending through the handle, they feel perfectly balanced in my hand. Forged from high-quality steel instead of welded together like lower end knives, these are razor-sharp and easily honed. This is a knife set that will last a lifetime when properly cared for. I can't recommend Wusthof enough. This fantastic set of four essential knives is absolutely worth every penny. Read more
