This is really nice, a little thinner than I expected as the pink is a little bit see through in that you can see the color of anything you’re wearing underneath, but not an issue for me. I wanted something a little longer and this is perfect. However, I got a size up and I seriously regret it. These robes are sized generously so I’m swimming in extra fabric now. I didn’t think it was that big when I tried it on first, but I must not have been paying attention because it’s seriously huge on me, lol. I have always had an issue with bathrobes being too bulky and hot. I did some research and found this robe and it seemed to be everything I wanted. It's comfortable and just what is needed when getting out of shower. The pockets are an advantage. I washed it and it didn't seem to shrink much if any. It was a good value for the money. I purchased the white, short length waffle robe because I am short statured, and so that I can wash it with other white clothing. It does need to be washed and dried on gentle, low heat, or it will shrink, and take it out of the dryer as soon as it's dry to help prevent wrinkling. This robe is light-weight and comfortable for wearing after I shower. The placement of the belt loops was too low for me, causing the belt to be below my hips, so I had to open the side seams and move the belt loops to a better position for my body size. (I do some hand sewing, so it wasn't too hard to do for me.) The threads of the waffle weave on the outside do snag easily, so I recommend that anyone with long hair doesn't brush or comb their hair while wearing this robe, but change into a different top first. I got a thermal spa pass on my last cruise and since my room was near it, prefered to just wear my swimsuit to and from the spa. This robe was perfect. A little bulky in my suitcase but very lightweight and most importantly it fit beautifully. I am short but busty and spa-issued robes always gape; this one covered my chest completely without being otherwise super-oversized. I got it in black and had no issues with sheerness either. What else is there to say? I loved this robe. It's lightweight yet oh soooooo comfy. I actually had tried one on at a recent hotel stay and love it so much o looked it up to see if Amazon had it. Price increased by 42% since 2021! If you get too hot after a shower, this is the robe for you!! It gives higher coverage along the neckline than I had expected, but that is fine by me. I'm going on a vacation with my family, so extra coverage is perfect. I got this because it's supposed to be thin and lightweight, so I thought it would be easier to fit in my suitcase than the thick terry cloth robe I've had for many years. It is definitely that! Another reviewer said the material is kind of see through. Due to the lighting in my room, I can't tell, but it looks like that might be the case to a point. I think you can see a faint outline of my body's shadow while I'm wearing this, but I couldn't actually see through the material. I have pale skin and I got the ecru color. I definitely could see certain bumps and bulges in outline under the robe, but it's a thin material, so that's to be expected. I don't think it's see-through on me. It was a little scratchy out of the package, but I washed it, and that went away. I enjoy lounging around in this, but I just need it to keep me covered while I go from the bathroom to the bedroom and to not take up too much room in my suitcase. It has served me well!! I get out of the shower, towel off like usual, and put on this robe. It feels great. It feels absorbent enough to keep me happy. One thing I cannot stand is wearing a robe that is not absorbent because I hate the feel of water clinging to my skin/clothes. This robe is actually fantastic for me in that regard. It is summer now, and this lightweight robe is great for walking around the house and getting ready without feeling like I have to turn on the air conditioner. I washed and dried it. I have to say that I did see a few pills on it after laundering it. That is not good, but while it was not terribly noticeable, I think that is something that might be of concern to some people. I would not give this robe as a gift unless the person specifically asked for a lightweight robe or if the person constantly complains of being too hot. I would not describe this as a terry cloth robe. It is a waffle weave. Update: I changed my review from four stars to five stars after having this robe for six months. I absolutely LOVE this robe! It absorbs water very well (I do always towel dry before putting it on, though), and it's very lightweight. That helps a LOT in the morning. I live in a warm climate, so I used to turn on the air conditioner when getting ready in the morning because my thick terry cloth robe was warm, even though I didn't realize that was the problem.
