Super awesome little blow dryer. Works just as good as their full size version. Same airflow, heat, and sound, just more compact. Read more
I give this hair dryer big props in most ways. —It’s VERY quiet, surprisingly so. —It puts out an incredible amount of air power and heat. — It heats up and cools down very quickly. —The controls are intuitive and they work well. —It’s easy to turn it on and off and to increase/decrease the three levels of air speed and three levels of heat. The on/off switch is on the back of the handle. The air speed and heat setting controls are on the side of the handle. —It also has a cold air shot button on the front of the handle. —It responds instantly when you change the air speed and heat levels. —It’s VERY small and compact. It is heavier than I expected but in fairness the manufacturer had to fit all the well-functioning inner workings into a very compact space. It isn’t heavy compared to other much larger hairdryers (maybe about the same or a little lighter?) but it doesn’t feel lightweight either. The other thing for people to know about this hairdryer is that there isn’t a low-low setting for the air speed. In my experience, it has high, higher, and highest. It isn’t like my previous hairdryer which has a truly low air speed setting. The reason this matters is that it really blows long hair around and tangles it up. It comes with two attachments but neither is a diffuser. IMO, this is a fantastic machine for those with short to short-short hair. The lack of a truly low air setting makes it a poor choice for those with longer hair and who need the drying process to take longer for brush styling purposes. Recommended for those with short hair. This is a small, lightweight hair dryer perfect for travel. One thing I do really like is that the diffusers attach to the hair dryer with a built-in magnet. Other dryers that I have owned clip on and either don't fit well to begin with, eventually wear out from the continuous removing and re-attaching, or the tabs break off which at that point I have to tape it to the dryer to keep it from falling off when using. IMO, the magnetic attachment is the best feature of all. There are 3 fan and heat settings. When on the lowest setting, to me, it is still noisy. It has a cool shot button to set your finished style. At the back of the dryer is a filter which is removable for cleaning if and when needed. The electrical cord is quite long and has a Velcro strap for keeping the cord tidy when not in use. I don't feel like the dryer gets hot enough and the attachments aren't drying/styling my hair like I prefer. When I turn it on, it makes my bathroom lights flicker. My normal hairdryer does not cause lights to flicker. I prefer my normal hairdryer over the Wahl. The size of the Wahl hairdryer would be a perfect fit for a child who can dry their own hair. I will only be using this for travel since it is compact and lightweight and stick with my normal sized dryer for daily use. Read more

I grabbed the Wahl Professional Vanquish Compact Hair Dryer because my old drugstore dryer sounded like a jet turbine and left my arm numb halfway through blow-drying my thick waves. Quality shows up immediately in the digital motor that spins at 101,000 rpm and pushes controlled airflow that dries even my roots in under four minutes, proving it dries hair well without the weak puff of my old unit. Noise level is a game-changer; Smoothtone technology keeps the hum around 80 decibels, quieter than my previous dryer and low enough that my toddler doesn’t wake when I sneak in a pre-breakfast blowout. Heat level offers three precise settings plus a cool shot that drops temperature in five seconds, so I can lock in my style without waiting around. Cord length gives me nine feet of slack, enough to walk from outlet to mirror without yanking the plug or doing an awkward outlet limbo. Value for money lands around $120, though I caught it on sale for $100, which is half the cost of a Dyson and still delivers professional speed and quiet power without the premium sticker shock. Weight is the first thing you notice; at just 340 grams it feels lighter than my smartphone, so I can style for ten minutes without wrist fatigue. Functionality is packed into a tiny frame with memory settings that remember my last combo, magnetic attachments that snap on with zero force, and a self-cleaning function that sucks debris from the filter with a long-press of the cool button. Bottom line: light, quiet, and smart enough to remember my settings—my morning routine now feels like a five-minute salon visit instead of a fifteen-minute arm workout. Read more
Knowing that Wahl is a really good brand for hair tools, I decided to give this one a try, and I was not disappointed! The hair dryer is SUPER lightweight, I really had no arm fatigue after drying my long hair. There are two sizes of air concentrators included to choose from, and they attach magnetically, making it very easy to put them on and take off. My hair is long and fine, and I would say that it dried just as quickly as my other salon-quality hair dryer. The air speed and heat controls offer enough flexibility to dry just about any type of hair, even has a cold-shot button for the finishing touch. The controls are on the side of the handle, and are buttons (instead of switches), and I found that on more than one occasion, I accidentally hit one of the buttons while holding it. Changing to switches or offering a setting "lock" would definitely help. The overall quality of the dryer is very good, very sturdy and well made. Very comfortable to hold. The air speed is definitely strong enough to dry very efficiently, but not blasting your hair all over the place (the concentrator nozzles help with that). This would definitely be perfect for travel, easy to pack, and doesn't take up much room. Definitely recommend! Read more
