This TOTAL SUPPORT, WORK version has medium arch height, compared to the MEDICAL ORTHOTIC INSOLES version, which has a higher arch height. I have both versions; both function well in light use. This TOTAL SUPPORT, WORK version feels a little bit more padded. Since I have average arch, this TOTAL SUPPORT, WORK version matches what I need more. The insoles are true to size, with no need to trim in my case, i.e. Mens 8-8.5. If your shoes are tight, you might find your shoes tighter with either version inside your shoes, but not by much. Both versions could serve as a low cost alternative to the more premium name brand. I purchased the two versions for walking, so by no means representing any torture test scenario. Read more
