I don't know why I never thought of getting mats like this before. Perhaps it is because this is the first time I had seen them and they looked like they would be perfect toilet mats for my place . I got the set with the design labeled Turkish tiles and they don't look like they're made for children at all. The design looks quite nice in my bathroom . These have some fantastic qualities. They are very absorbent. They fit perfectly around my old style toilet. They are very easy to clean. For the amount of absorbency these provide they are quite lightweight and fold down into a really small size for storage in the bathroom . Just using them for a week we have noticed a difference as far as odor in the bathroom. Sometimes late at night it seems that I miss. When you want to clean them all you have to do is toss them in a machine and they come out great . I can totally recommend these. I hope the durability is great and they last a long time. Read more
Ok these are marketed as potty training mats but they could be used as normal bathroom mats and nobody would know the difference. I’m sure a version of these have existed for a while, but I’ve never come across these before and I think they are such a wonderful idea! You get 4 mats in the package, so you always have one on hand to rotate out for washing. They are thin enough to fold up and store easily, while being thick enough to absorb a good amount of liquid. They are the perfect size to fit around a standard toilet or even a toddler’s potty training toilet with ease. The top is soft and slightly cushioned and the bottom is dotted with little anti-slip dots to keep the mat in place. Finally, the designs are even prettier than they look in the product photos, which is something I worried about; so I don’t have to worry about this practical item interfering with the decor and being an eyesore! The construction seems sturdy and I believe they will hold up through countless washes (I will update this review if I learn otherwise.) overall- cool concept, practical while still being pretty, useful, multi-purpose, and durable for machine washing! I am going to be honest with you. I ordered these potty training mats as a bit of a gag for my husband and ten-year-old son because one of them has started missing the huge hole in the commode, and I am tired of cleaning up overspray. I think they got the hit because the issue has now resolved. All that being said, I did notice the size of the mat is a bit too short to actually cover all the areas a toddler would spray. There should be at least an additional six inches of fabric on either side to catch and absorb the drippings and spray. Speaking of absorbency, these do a fantastic job in that area. They are super easy to clean. I simply threw them in the washer with my garage towels. I did not experience any issues with smell or anything like that, but I did wash them daily. I have washed them now a few times, and they have held up nicely. If you actually have a toddler in your life who you are trying to potty train, I would honestly recommend finding mats that offer a bit more coverage around the commode itself because these do not provide the level of coverage you need.
