This 3-pack of water filter replacements fit my GE refrigerator perfectly, and I'm happy with the quality and performance. Installation was easy. It fit just like the original filter with a simple seat and twist and no leaks or mess. The instructions were easy to understand and made the whole process quick and simple, no tools needed. The water quality was on par with the branded filter I had previously purchased from a box store at a much higher price, which is much cleaner and fresher than straight tap. I like that these filters are tested and certified by NSF and WQA and the 97.4% chlorine removal rate is verified by a third party lab. I also like that they are BPA free and made from food grade materials. Initially suspicious, the filtering ability seemed to even out after a couple days. The water was initially cloudy with bubbles, but cleared up once I used it a bit. The taste also became something I was more used to. The only gripe is how my old filters would immediately stop dispensing water one the lever was released. There may be a valve or something for faster shutoff in those. These filters will trickle water for half a second before stopping. Not much of an issue, but it has lead to a few wet socks until I started remembering. It fits my GE fridge perfectly and haven't had any issues. For a whopping 7 times the cost of these, you could get the name brand. I'll tolerate some wet socks for these savings. Read more
Great water filters. I like that since each one is meant to last for six months, this is a one and a half year supply. I had some trouble figuring out if this would work for my refrigerator, so aside from the list they provide, here are a few more machines it will work on, hopefully it will help you: GWFA, HWF, HDX WFC1201, RWF1060, 197D6321P006, WD-F13, PC75009, 46-9991, 469991, WSG-1 It is a basic bayonet style water filter replacement and should work in your reefer if that’s what you’ve been using - I’ve provided a picture of what the connection looks like. They come nicely sealed but you should pour out the 1st gallon that you initially run through the filter, or better yet water your plants with the initial 4 quarts. As I said, they are meant to last six months each and there are date stickers provided so you can label them to remind yourself when it’s time to change out. Recommended. Read more
Not much to say here so far, other than the fact that these seem to fit the GE water filter size MWF. I like that they don't try to pretend they are genuine (counterfeit) and that they took the time to earn the various safety or other certifications. Hopefully they will stay true to these standards. I did have to run a few glasses of water through the filter before the sediment/impurities from installation were cleared, but did not seem to be a long term issue. You can probably find cheaper fake filters, but these beat the genuine article on price and hopefully will give at least adequate results which seems to be the case so far. Perfect for for my GE Fridge! These are amazing! They go on very easy and don't leak at all. They also do not slow the water flow. You have to make sure to purge out about a gallon and a half of water before you use it. Great tasting water. Great filters that are just as good as oem. It is very easy to install and replace in our current refrigerator. I can certainly feel like the taste of my water is much better than filter less. It comes with months and years of label to be reminded when to change out which is very convenient. It is a great value as there are 3 packs and we can certainly use it for 1-1.5 years depending on usage. Read more
I got these to use in place of GE MWF water filters. The filter is extremely easy to install. They recommend flushing out approximately 3 gallons of water initially. That's a lot of water, so I used it to water plants. The water flow seems normal. So far I'd say the water tastes good, but only more time will tell if that continues. The price of these is great compared to the GE brand. I get 3 of these for just half the price of one GE filter. Seems too good to be true.
