Great replacement filter for older Samsung fridge
My mom bought an overpriced square filter at the local large nationwide hardware store chain with the orange logo that the salesman insisted was the correct one for her fridge. Needless to say, the square filter did not fit. 6 of these cost about the same as 1 wrong filter from the brick and mortar, and these fit quite nicely. Installation is easy as long as you do it quickly. When flushing the air out, there was no massive blast of black water as one will usually get from a granular carbon filter, so I'm guessing these have a carbon block. Our water is fairly clean and tends to not develop any flavor until around 3x the recommended change period, so I usually change her filters every two filter change alerts. If these fail sooner, I'll update and add pics of a cut open filter. Read more
Work great, easy to install.
These water filters are easy to use. Make sure to check the part numbers, but basically you just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. I think you punch in something on the user screen on the door ( see directions) but they work great for several months. I have used these for years. Also, my house is on a private well and the water tastes horrible. But if when I have these filters installed, the water from the fridge is great! Read more

You must flysh your water system before you start drinking.
They filters are simple to install and they come with date stickers, so you know when its near time to change it. You do have to run (Gal.) the water for a few minutes after installation or you will have cloudy water. That flush helps the system filter and helps the unit work properly. It gets everything else out so you can start drinking. Read more
