I live in an apartment and wanted something more efficient than a refillable water filter system. I had been using a zerowater filter refillable pitcher type but the filters made the water taste almost sour after a couple of weeks and had to stop using it. This water filter seems to be of good quality and has made a difference in the taste. I have mine setup to work through the cold water side in my kitchen sink and it works beautifully. For 37$ or whatever it is far better and cheaper to use this than a water filter pitcher type alternative. Also it says the filter is good for a year?! Just buy it. You’ll be glad you did. Read more

Easy installation, once you figure out how to get your head & shoulders under the sink. Connected to city water. Supposed to last (hassel-free) for one year, check periodically for leaks. The filter last for 12 moths? The filter is easy to install & remove. 800 number in installation instructions for any problems. I guess it is filtering the water. The water is clear & has no taste. The cat likes it & she never drinks water. Read more

Fairly easy to install, but the tubing is way too long and difficult to manipulate in tight spaces because it's very stiff. I wasn't sure if cutting it shorter would compromise the connection points, but that may or may not be an issue. Once connected, the water flow is good with no noticeable drop in pressure at the normal faucet and plenty of strong pressure at the filter faucet. I let a good amount (5 minutes) of water flow through before trying to drink any water. Initially I saw what seemed to be a lot of particles and/or bubbles in the filtered water. This was concerning as different flow levels seemed to determine the amount of particles or bubbles I saw in the filtered water. I did do a TDS test with a measurement device and the total dissolved solids were actually slightly higher than in the unfiltered tap water. I realize the filter clearly claims it does not remove TDS, but again I was concerned that it was adding to that number. Once again I ran the filter a good five minutes to flush out any filter particles, as most all new water filters suggest discarding the first filtered water run through. Currently the tap water and the filtered water register about the same TDS measurement so I feel a little better about it. Taste of the filtered water is good, by that I mean it has no taste, so that's a plus. I still see tiny bubbles every now and then but I think that may be due to the selected flow rate on the filter faucet's handle. Without a complete scientific analysis of the water, I am not 100% sure if this is doing much of anything. Hopefully it is removing some of the larger solids and harmful things in the water. Hopefully it's not adding any either! Read more

This is the third Waterdrop filter system I've bought since 2024 -- there were two sinks, and then one I installed at my daughter's home. Our city water has a chlorine taste, and this gets rid of it, plus it's supposed to remove a whole bunch of other stuff, including lead and PFAS. The units are easy to install, and all I can say is the water tastes great now, and I think my (French press) coffee is better, too. I can also report that Waterdrop's customer service is TOP NOTCH -- when I contacted them once about a small missing part, they got back to me right away and shipped it immediately. Read more

This filter is great. It immediately improves the quality of your tap water in taste, smell, and clarity to a huge degree. I live in a somewhat rural town that gets its water supply from a local lake, and the two times a year when it turns over, the water starts tasting and smelling really funky (almost like mold). This solves that problem completely! Installation is really easy - all it took was a drill, a crescent wrench, and some vice grips. It mounts cleanly to the cabinet wall below my kitchen sink and connected to my water line and faucet no problem with absolutely no leaks (no teflon tape required). Everything else you need is included in the box, even a little reminder button that's programmed to tell you when it needs a new filter. It's rated for about a year of use, but you could probably stretch it a little. From what I can tell, if you decide you want the filter to last a little longer, you can just swap out one of the bigger replacement filters since they all take the same adapter (I think). For that reason, I'd recommend installing it a little higher than you typically might in case you want to ever upgrade the filter size. After flushing it for 5 minutes, the cold water from my faucet started to come out clean and clear, with no discernible taste or smell. Huge upgrade! I use it exclusively for my drinking water, my ice maker, and even my morning tea tastes better. It is a bit big, but for something that's completely out of sight and lasts as long as it does, I don't have a problem with it. It's much less intrusive than an on-faucet filter or fridge pitcher, and you don't even have to think about it until the filter needs replaced once a year. It also will slightly reduce the water pressure from your cold line (I would say maybe 15%) so if you already have low pressure, that might be something to consider. That isn't a problem for my setup so I barely noticed it. Overall, I highly recommend this filter! For the price, you're getting clean, good-tasting water from your tap at all times with minimal maintenance and a simple installation process. Read more
