Good quality tap water! Annoying install if u dont want the faucet.
This uses 1/4in poly tubing so beware if you have 1/2 in steel hoses. I live in apartment so I could not drill. I wanted the pf system for the tap water here. I does filter tds and the pp filter is meant for metals and gc for metal oxides. I would reccomend getting the other style system without the faucet. Those have 1/4in steel push connect sink hoses. I found success with a 1/2in to 1/4 in compression fitting. The picture is a 1/4in line with a 1/2in adapter into the compression fitting. Be sure to check your actual water line size as well! My pictures shows the larger 1/2in female hose fitting attached it the actual 1/4in cold water line. Ill be fixing this soon, but im happy at this time with the quality of the filter. The t-style shutoff in this pack was useless in my opinion. Much lower pressure than other options.. Read more

An ok inline system
Let me start with the fact that this unit does not lower tds. Any metals or other impurities (that can include, pesticides antibiotics, a wide array of metals etc) that have dissolved remain in your water. Now this isn't a deal breaker but something you should know. I happen to run this unit before my ro unit so that the filters of that more expensive set up don't have to rid the system of everything. After the RO unit I have a uv filter to deal with any micro organisms but I digress. This is a great inline filter; it does a good job of clearing out the solids and purifying the water to the best of its abilities. The filters are cheap and overall it's not a bad buy.
