I learned something. Always replace your water filter every six months! Lol. Let me tell you why besides of how nasty they get. I came home after taking three of my kids trick or treating. They had their candy laid out on the kitchen floor and then my 9 year old came upstairs and told me our dog peed in the floor and was licking it. I was like huh. I was freaking out and went to turn the water valve off because my husband would be home from work in 44 minutes. Well guess what. We just got this house not too long ago and went in the basement I turned the wrong one off and did the waterhose valve. Water was flooding my kitchen. I put over 20 huge towels down. Nothing was helping. My husband comes home and tells me I turned the wrong one off. Lol. Of course I did. Luckily he got out his shop vac and a huge squeegee and saved the day. Moral of the story.. CHANGE THISE WATER FILTERS OUT!! Lol. Do not be stupid like me. We got this house a year ago and I don't think that filter was changed in years in that refrigerator. It was so nasty and dirty when we took it out and half of it broke in the housing after it exploded. Could y'all imagine if I was not home when this happened. Our whole downstairs would have been flooded. Okay now to my review after my story. We put this on about four days ago. I went to hardware stores and they wanted $50 for one filter! I got two of these for like $16. The water tastes great!! They even sent little stickers to put on it so you will know when to change it next.
