Our house water supply makes ice cubes that impart an unpleasant flavor to drinks. Purchasing these filters has allowed us to reclaim our refrigerator icemaker and water!!! We were purchasing spring water and making ice in a countertop icemaker, then filling the ice bin in the freezer. These filters has saved us the hassle and expense of doing that. We can purchase 3 of these filters for the price of 1 Samsung filter. I was a little unsure about purchasing. but found that these fit perfectly and are easy to install. After installing, you may experience a little truickle out of your fridge's water spout. This is normal and should go away after a few uses of water. Read more

This filter met and matched the specifications for my refrigerator. I could not believe the difference in cost between the authentic Samsung filter and this generic version. I attacked this project as if I were a member of a bomb squad. If this did not fit properly, I might have a water bomb on my hands. It fit perfectly and seems to be functioning fine. Wish it had a "start arrow and stop/locked arrow" on the cartridge to visually assure me everything was in it's proper orientation. I tightened as much as I could by hand and it doesn't leak, so I guess I installed it properly. I'm pretty sure it is okay, but would like that visual assurance that the Samsung cartridge provides.
