I've had a Waterman pen in the past, lasted for years and was very impressed with the handling, feel of the body and its writing qualities. I was anxious to receive this one since its quality was much better, but Amazon stated that it would not be delivered until a couple days later. Obviously, this was upsetting but the next morning I checked on Amazon to look for any changes in delivery and low and behold - it was there outside the door waiting. This review is mainly for the Amazon driver - this person is awesome, came thru and made my day!! Many many thanks! I'm a big fan of MontBlanc, but like Waterman pens too. Read more

So far a great purchase. Writes smooth and provides a good accent to a jacket pocket. edit: Been using this pen everyday for about a year now. Honestly I bought it because I really wanted a Montblac, but didn't trust myself with that expensive of a pen, as I tend to lose things. Figured I test this out and upgrade later. I have to say after using it for a year, I don't feel I need the Montblanc anymore. This is a great pen. It also helped me save enough that I can pick up a nice Cross Century to mix it up every now and then. REally glad I went this route. Read more

I've had a Montblanc in my wallet sice 1990. Fell under my car seat once in a bank drive thru. Have a fit looking for it! Bought a Watermanut but loved it so it stays home on my open Bible on my coffee dining table. Med point blue to use for my Bible and the notebook. It's weighty, wide, sooth & comfy on my arthritic fingers. It's a really beautiful writing piece. But this pen replaced one that grew legs since I don't take it anywhere, I don't understand how it *poof* vanished! But this new pen arrived 1 day early. I'm soo thankful! Even the box is attractive. I enjoy fine quality pens (or sanitary purposes, I don't use general pens when I sign in at md office, etc, hence my wallet with a pen holder. I believe I prefer the Waterman v. Montblanc (which is more thin, less weighty and shorter), but it fits my wallet pen holder better (gave larger pen to my dad). The Waterman CARENE, what I also purchased, is slick heavier pen cigar shape that is better for my writing here in my home, more comfortable on my arthritic fingers. Definitely! Have so now I have this one for backup if ever needed to replace, as I just did, unaware other one I lost was the Carene. The Montblanc is substantially more expensive. There are less expensive thinner pens, but you'll thoroughly enjoy the movement and flow of the ink while holding the Waterman writing piece. A work of art. I definitely recommend it!🖊🖋 Read more

I have owned a Waterman pen for over 30 years, and have been loyally attached to this brand. A step above the rest, in my opinion. I bought my son-in-law a Waterman pen for Christmas after a promotion and he raves about its quality. If you do a great deal of writing, this is the pen for you. Feels great in your hand, writes smoothly and effortlessly. Read more

This Waterman pen is excellent. The weight and feel of the pen is just right. The style is really nice. This is the ballpoint and it writes nicely. The price can be a little lower, but overall, I like the pen. This is one to add to the collection. Next one to buy is the rollerball. Read more

At first I balked at the price, but I bought it anyway and I'm glad I did. To start with the obvious - this is a beautiful and classy pen. I prefer pens that are a little thicker at the bottom to make holding the pen more comfortable (I have large hands), and this pen is not as thick as I'd like, but wide enough to allow writing without tiring the hand. This is the only con I could find. The pen is built solidly, with a nice click when opened, and there is no wobble or give in the mechanism. The writing is very smooth, with almost no pressure. It should be mentioned that the refill in the pen is good out of the box, unlike Parker or Cross that usually require to buy a new refill with the new pen, because the one that comes inside the pen is bad. The color of the blue ink has a pleasant purple tint. Now I need to find a notebook that looks equally classy to match the pen. suggestions welcomed. Read more
