This webcam gets the job done when you really need it, it's an easy plug and play camera and it offers some pretty decent quality for the price! I had to get this for my many online classes and appointments this semester when my computer camera broke. It works much better than my computer camera, with clear and sharp video over zoom. I would not recommend using the microphone in it, however, as it makes you sound so quiet even when you sit up close to your laptop. It's hard to position right, and you can't bump it because the securing method is poor, but once I got it angled right it'd stay on just fine and not move as long as I didn't jostle it. There's a little light that comes one when it's filming, and you can put a cap on it so It was easy to tell when it was going or not, and the USB cord is long enough that it was easy to hook up. Update: 10/17/2024. So the seller replaced my first camera because there was a loose component that probably happened in shipping so the cam was not recognized. Seller was nice and no fuss about just replacing it. The next one they sent was perfectly fine nothing was loose but omg... lmfaoo please read this to avoid being frustrated. The new camera works great but you might have to adjust windows. To all people with windows 11! Your drivers will need to be removed and reinstalled if the camera is not recognized and then you need to use only usb 2.0. I had to make my camera take up a generic slot for imaging devices and then update that driver slot. Then I had to uninstall that. Then when I ran my device manager ro review updates it picked up the streaming camera but only if plugged into USB 2.0 port. When I place back in 3.0 port on any laptop it does not work. HOPEFULLY THAT HELPS EVERYONE THAT WAS AS FRUSTRATED WITH ME AND HOPEFULLY THE SELLER CAN POST IT SOMEWHERE BECAUSE IM SURE THEY HAVE MANY CUSTOMERS CONFUSED but the camera works really great actually! When the camera came on I have to say the quality is pretty damn good... it captures the hair on my arm from accross the room 15 feet away I can see the detail clearly!!! Read more

My video stopped working on my laptop due to a hardware malfunction, but everything else worked perfectly. A tech person recommended I get an external camera, which saved me from needing to purchase a new laptop. This is very cost effective and easy to use. Just plug it into the USB, set it up on the top of the laptop, and we're off! Like that it comes with a little tripod. Though I haven't had to use it yet, it's cute. Hope it keeps working! Read more

This camera is a quick easy set up for my live streaming. Nothing to download; just plug and play. Clear image for what this camera is. Better than my computer's internal camera and it is cheap. I think the audio isn't that great compared to my Chromebook. So I use the camera USB for visual and computer for audio. Great set up for me. Easy to setup on top of monitor. Not sure if I got a faulty unit or this thing just runs hot but either way, test your unit before you keep it. --------- This web-camera arrived today. I installed in minutes and had it running with my Skype account seamlessly. Ok price for the unit with its features (built in mic). Quality feel to the hinges and the camera does position well allowing varied micro adjustments. As advertised, it capture the full 110 degree range. I have not used the tripod yet but it has a quality feel to it (heavier) and I like the stiffness of the legs for being able to position it and hold that position. To that last point, the ball feet are rubberized so it is not likely to slip either. I've had lesser weight tripods and or plastic feet that collapsed or shifted for small cameras like this and I paid more for them. So I am sure you are wondering why the 3-stars and not at least 4? If it weren't for the con and the potential issues it brings, I would have given it 4 to 4.5 stars. This thing runs HOT. As we all know with electronics, heat is the kiss of death for longevity. We'll see.... --- Pros --- + Plug & Play - perfect and worked right out of the box + quality feel to the camera and construction of the hinged mount + many precise positions possible for the camera + decent sound to the built in mic (better than other built in's I have used) --- Cons --- - Runs HOT. - I was on a test Skype call for less than 9 minutes and when I went to put the camera away it felt not just warm but HOT. I'll be testing it on hour and two hour long calls this coming week. If it continues or gets even warmer... back to Amazon it goes and back to the proverbial drawing board for finding a new webcam. Product worked as advertised, however my son reported me that the camera was not turning on. Thought it was maybe the usb hub but it wasnt. It turned out to be the cable from the camera as the system is recognizing the camera randomly when I wiggle the camera just on the cable on the back of the camera, not sure if the inside connection of the cable is loose or the cabling inside is broken. Seller contacted me and has provided me with an excellent service, after receiving the replacement product, everything works fine without any issues at all.
