Comfortable vest but I recommend a few upgrades to get the most out of it. I will use the military combat vests I have used in the past to work out. This is definitely less bulky which is a really great aspect of this vest and still makes it worth the buy. But I have a strong feeling the elastic shoulder straps with stretch out or even rip because they are literally the only thing holding and supporting all 30lbs. I plan on running/walking and doing pull-ups and push-ups and a few other exercises with this and I think a thicker shoulder straps will ensure it lasts through those activities. On the military vests it is an adjust able think material for the shoulders, and then it Velcros down on itself which essentially doubles up the already thick material and helps support more of that weight (which can be up to 45lbs or even more when it is loaded with plates and gear). The second thing I’d change is I can’t adjust it right enough on the chest strap, so a wider range of adjustments would be helpful. The last thing is the strap securing cuff that is meant to hold the excess strap after tightening should be made of elastic and not a stiff material. This will also allow for a wider range of adjustment on the vest because the elastic cuff will easily secure both a large or small amount of excess strap. Leaving a nice clean look.
