WELKINLAND 17-Inch Laptop Briefcases for Men --- Really nicely made top of the line bag. I've said this in reviews a few times now as I have two WELKINLAND brand tool bags, a travel hanging clothes bag and a woodworking apron. My interest is always peaked when coming across Welkinland brand products as they seem to consistently make top quality items with great attention to every detail. They're not cheap in price but they cut no corners and make products you'll use a very long time if not forever. This particular bag could be called a laptop bag, messenger bag, briefcase or simply just everyday carry bag.. very versital. Like all their products this bag has a thick Kordura (what they call it) outer shell and every pocket and interior area is lined with a high quality smooth nylon type lining. All seams appear to be double stitched and "X" stitched at attachment points. All hardware is a heavy made gunmetal gray finish for all zippers, snaps, D-rings and such. Really is a nice bag with heavy construction through out as has been all bags I've gotten from them. The biggest feature to me is the full rap around zipper that opens it up to double its size in thickness. Zipped up its a great grab and go size that could easily carry a laptop along with any other needs at a more compact size yet for a longer trip it can turn into a small carry on suitcase size doubling the main compartment room. The front of this bag has a large messenger style flap that can adjust in size with buckles but actually cleverly fastens closed with magnetic closures making it quick and easy to access. Under this flap is found a large full length pocket with several small organizational sized pockets in its inner lining. In front of that are two more large zippered pockets that also hide under the outer flap. Located above this outer flap is the openings for two more full length sized pockets. One with zippered top and one open top that also hides the handle went not in use. The center area is separated in to two spaces perfect for a laptop and even an extra monitor with one side haveing elastic corners to keep the contents separated. The other side, made into the inner lining, is two more pockets with a third full width zippered compartment behind them. The back side has one large pocket, that can also hide the other handle and a sturdy strap loop that can slide over extended luggage handles making for easy carry on trips. Comes with a nice removable shoulder strap in addition to the set of handles that conveniently swivel down and hide in side pockets when not in use.. I really like this clever part of the design. I'm posting several pictures, many more than I ussually do as I feel the level of detail put into these bags needs to be seen to be appreciated and to easily justify they're price. Obviously good pictures are much more explanatory than spelled out discriptions. One odd observation is the listing many times calling this a "Man or Mens" bag... the colors are probably considered masculine but I think the ladies can appreciate this bag too. Super nice bag. For me it'll be my catch all on the go messanger bag, man purse.. whatever you want to call it. On trips it'll carry my laptop, extra monitor, hand held gaming system, flashlight, snacks.. all those things you want handier to grab instead of in the larger clothes luggage. I like it... This is a very durable soft-sided briefcase, with enough style to be able to be used in a casual work environment without anyone thinking that you brought a tool bag to the office. It's also a good choice for traveling because it's so well made. All of the zippers are very smooth with large teeth. The front pocket has straps that can be adjust a bit like a belt, and a strong magnet secures it in place. This does not have leather, it's what is referred to as PU leathers, which is essentially a plastic that is made to resemble leather. I really wish they'd have used either real leather and priced it a little higher, or used some sort of well made canvas strap instead because it would look better, but it's fine. The inside has material like you'd find on the interior of a suitcase, but don't know what to call that. There aren't many reasons anymore for most of us to carry a hard sided leather briefcase, so I really like this more casual design that can be used in a number of different scenarios. I thought about removing a star for the PU leather that could look a little better, but thought that would be too harsh. A half star off would probably be more fair, but that can't be done. I don't know of many alternatives that are similar, so for that reason, I'm pretty happy with it. Read more

Another nice Welkinland product. Not as heavy as their tool bags, but it doesn't need to be. Made from a strong, lightweight nylon, it features many compartments and pockets to organize your gear. There are strong handles and a nice shoulder strap for carrying. The zippers are good quality and move easily,. Would make a great worksite briefcase. Read more

Took a while to get it flat to use it (a couple of hours), because it was shipped folded in half. I eventually laid a suitcase on top of it to flatten it out. That worked. Other than that small setback, this computer bag is really nice. My 17-inch laptop fits in (a bit close on the sides, but plenty of depth -- see pictures), and there's lots of room for power cords (even with the big transformer), USB cables and other stuff like cell phone, pens and paper, clipboard, USB cords, etcetera. It looks really cool -- the "buckles" you see on the front of the bag are actually magnetic snaps -- no need to unbuckle them to get into the pockets below the flap, just unsnap them. Carrying it, my wife says I look like a college professor -- now I just need a jacket with patches on the elbows! LOL! Read more

I am extremely impressed with the quality of this briefcase and plan to use it at a big trade show this winter to carry my laptop and any catalogs I pick up at the show. It has plenty of pockets to get organized and lots of places to stash your stuff. I like the buckles that are actually magnets - gives it a neat look. This is the fourth or fifth product I have used from Welkinland. Their products are always top-notch. Very impressive. Their garment bags are strong and sturdy. Their professional items such as electricians backpack or tool vest are top notch. This computer case is no different. Exceptional quality for this price. Nice sturdy thick. Excellent stitching.
