I love this thing. It's super easy to use. I make regular rice in it, but I also love making Mexican rice or chicken flavored rice as well. It's definitely a "set it and forget it" kind of device. I haven't had anything stick or burn in it yet either everything comes out perfectly! I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WEST BEND RICE AND GRAIN COOKER. I MADE A MISTAKE BUYING ANOTHER RICE COOKER NAMED AROMA AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH IT. WEST BEND DOESN'T HAVE ANY EXPOSED METAL SCREWS, EXEPT FOR A STAINLESS STEEL METAL HEAT SENSOR, BUT THE RICE COOKER WORKS VERY WELL. I WILL BUY A LARGE WEST BEND RICE COOKER IF I CAN FIND ONE. I LIKE THE POT BECAUSE IT IS PROTECTED WITH NON-STICK COATING ALTHOUGH ITS RIM HAS EXPOSED METAL. I COVERED ALL OUTER EXPOSED SCREWS WITH ANTI-RUST PAINT. DON'T MIMMIC WHAT I DID WITH THE ANT-RUST SPRAY PAINT PLEASE. THERE WERE NOT MANY OF THEM IN WEST BEND RICE COOKER. I FEEL SAFE TO USE IT AND MY FOOD IS NOT EXPOSED TO SCREWS. IT IS AMAZING THAT ONCE THE LID IS CLOSED, I HAVE NO WORRY BECAUSE IT SWITCHES TO WARM WHEN THE FOOD IS READY. THE WATER VAPOR FROM THE FOOD IS NOT ACCUMULATED IN A CUP ATTACHED BEHIND THE RICE COOKER LIKE THE OTHER RICE COOKERS. TRULY THE WEST BEND RICE COOKER IS A SUPERIOR INNOVATION. THE OTHER RICE COOKER SPECIES ARE CONSUMERS' NIGHTMARE BECAUSE THE EXPOSED SCREWS, THE METAL WHERE THE WATER VAPOR TRAVELS TO GO TO THE COLLECTING CUP, ETC. CAUSE THE SCREWS TO RUST. ALSO, THE HEATING METAL GETS ATTACKED BY THE FUNGAL RUST WHICH IS WHY THE RICE COOKER BREAKS FAST. WEST BEND RICE COOKER IS TOTALLY AWESOME AND WAS MADE THOUGHTFULLY TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF THE CONSUMERS. DON'T TRUST ANY EXPOSED METAL IN YOUR COOKING APPLIANCES. THE MICROBIAL HIJACKERS ARE ALWAYS PRESENT WHEREVER THERE IS EXPOSED METAL. WE LIVE IN A WATER WORLD, THEREFORE, THE EXTERIOR OF ALL METAL COOKWARES SHOULD BE ENCASED IN CERAMIC, PLASTIC PAINT, ETC. THEY COMPETE FIERCELY WITH YOU MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. THEY CAUSE YOU TO LIVE WITH ALL TYPES OF VIRAL SYMPTOMS, INCLUDING NIGHTMARES, TO CONTROL YOUR BODY INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY. I originally bought one somewhere else as a gift. I immediately regretted not getting myself one then. So I bought 1 through Amazon a couple years later, amazed by the one I gave away. Lol. So the first I got myself was from Amazon, I'm surprised it was even sold! The button to open the rice cooker and the power cord were missing?? It was resale, but how it was in "very good" condition? I don't know! It was a simple return though and I bought another. The 2nd I bought myself from Amazon was just like the original one that made me want one. The product itself is amazing!! You can make a lot of rice in this pot. I've had others and they didn't make enough, but this one is just right. You can make a little or a lot and it's so easy to clean. Overall it's like most other rice makers, but this ones capacity is outstanding. My friends used theirs for a little over 2 years now with no issues or complaints. You can cook different types of rice and grains with the menu options. It also comes with a steamer basket. I'm not used to that and the timing yet, but I'll get better with it. This is a really great Rice Cooker! After searching and reading reviews for the perfect rice cooker, this by far is the best rice cooker for me. It cooks rice perfectly and I love the warmer button after the rice cooker is done cooking. It’s priced right and definitely value for the money. I use Jasmine and Basmati rice in this rice cooker and it’s perfect every time! I add rice and other ingredients and the water per each rice measurement with the rice measurement cup and push the Menu button then the rice button, close the lid and let it do its thing! Best flaky flavorful rice! Packaged well, arrived as stated on arrival date. Doesn’t take up much room on my kitchen counter. Easy to clean too! Highly recommend y’all to buy this rice cooker! One of my guests stole the removeable power cord for some reason so I reached out to West Bend for a replacement part as I have before with several other manufacturers over the years. I offered to pay for the part, shipping, etc. but the customer support was very rude and refused to help. I wish the cord wasn't even removable, because now I need a whole new rice cooker. Read more
