I got a bunch of old office pc's from my company (not really old, just the usual 3 yrs rotation). Due to security concerns the hdd's got taken out. Since I put it to my mind to refit them, put linux on it and donate them to a local NGO working with street kids I had to do sth. Couldn't hand them over without hdd and non-working. So, I spend the $150 for the drives (10 pc's - you work it out), installed them added an educational linux to each of them, tossed in a network switch I had sitting around and went down there, installed them and actually got them a company sponsor to pay for the next 24mth internet. Paying $150 for 10 hdd's and putting a little work in won't kill me, the happy faces - priceless! My good deed for 2023... time to misbehave again... Read more

Great drive for a great price and came quick. Only thing I had a problem with was the packaging. Putting a hard drive in a bubble envelope through the USPS? I figured it was done for. There were three dents in the cover when I pulled it out, I was sure it was toast. Hooked it up and so far so good. Raid picked it up and is rebuilding now. Aside from the heart attack when I first saw the drive. I'm a happy camper. Please use a box next time. Thanks! Needless to say I gave it 5 stars for durability. Read more
