Not sure yet how it cools, but the supplemental heat is working great !!!!! Very easy to set up. One thing to note is no matter which option you’re using you have need to empty the dehumidifier tank as it uses the air from outside that has some moisture in it. Read more

Easy to assemble, wifi control easy to install, my opinion is the unit is very quiet, easy to operate and the most important is it is working great. Using it in heat mode at this point and it is serving a large room nicely. Read more

Good product but if you don't have a spot to constantly drain water into, you'll be draining water by hand every 15 minutes. FT...for "full tank" starts flashing after 15 minutes even when it's in heat mode, then, it stops working. You have to drain all the water out before it will turn on again. Didn't feel like going through all that. But if you have a way to drain the water, I'd say it's a good product, heated my screenhouse in 20 minutes, 650 sq. Feet, very nicely. Noise level is good. Value for your buck?....could be better at 100.00 less than it is Read more

Cons: - Unit does not self-drain when a garden hose is connected - Unit does not indicate or display tank level, just when it is full - Window adapter is not very broadly compatible - Used the worse device assisted network setup and pairing rather than smart pairing - Alexa compatibility is misleading- a Westinghouse App needs to be installed on a phone, an account registered, and then a whole other process to get an Alexa Skill or device to appear. - Doesn't have a built-in condensate pump - Castor wheels are not the locking kind - If the angle of the floor is paramount to draining, the unit should have an integrated bubble level - Ducting was not long enough to reach over the sink and make it to the adapter in the window. - if your window has a deep sill, the duct won't clear the sill - the window adapter can only be oriented, with the port hole as vertically up as it can be, with the port on one side of the window. - if you want the port hole as high as it can be on a particular side of the window, to stand a chance of clearing the sill, you're going to need to do some cutting or snipping of the inner sliding panel. - rather hard to find the portions soecific to heating in the directions Pros - worked okay for heat - inverter best pump should be quieter and more efficient - more compact than some cooling-onkly units ive seen Read more

Living in Texas, the heat of summer is already here. Additionally, with the storms that have passed through my area, we have had loss of power twice. First, for only 3 hours and the second time for over six hours. Living near the Gulf of Mexico, hurricanes are always a threat. I have a portable generator (Champion) that can run my house except for the A/C. After researching various models and brands, I decided upon the Westinghouse 12,000 BTU floor A/C. I will use it to cool the rooms we are in during the day and if the outage stretches into the nighttime, move it into my bedroom. Easy to set up. I turned off my main A/C, and let it run for several hours. It cooled living room, dining room, and kitchen like a champ. While running, my wife and I were able to have conversation as the unit was very quiet. Remote control (comes with batteries) easy to use. I also downloaded the Westinghouse app and can control the unit with my smart phone. The unit has castors to roll it around from room to room. It is well-built and the instructions in the manual are easy to understand. I am very happy with my purchase. Read more
