We have one light fixture in our foyer that otherwise needs rather small bulbs in every dimension, and the old ones were essentially little incandescent globes. I wanted to switch everything over to LEDs, and these did the trick. Color is good and warm, light intensity is perfect, and the size is perfect for the otherwise rather space-constrained ceiling-mounted fixture. It remains to be seen how long they'll last, but typically LEDs are far-longer lasting than regular bulbs, even more so if the light isn't on all the time. Besides the switchover to LEDs, the other reason I wanted to convert is because I literally couldn't find matching bulbs for the originals and one had already burned out. I expect I won't have to change this one for a very long time. My only proviso in any of this is you probably don't want to use these in fixtures where the bulb is exposed, as opposed to this, which is under decorative glass. Read more

I wanted something that had high light output and wasn't amber toned for our dining room fixture - I was worried I'd never find something to get the room bright enough (11x13') but these are plenty bright, in fact we keep them at about 2/3 brightness on the dimmer switch with 5 it provides 2250 lumens to the room and are fairly close to neutral color - definitely not golden yellow nor blue. They seem to be glass and don't look awful when un-lit, like a lot of other LED bulbs, so this works great if your fixture is designed to show off the bulbs too. Read more
